As we're on the verge of Beta 3, pre-orders have been opened. A free bonus is included for the first 25 orders. Beta 3 rolls out in a week, and December will be spent with release candidates. The game will be release-ready by the end of the year, and in January, the order will be made. March 1st, 2010 is the scheduled release date.

I might bite. but what's the packaging going to look like? 40$ seems a bit steep, I'm mostly in this for the collection purpose. (though I certainly want to play it at some point).

I actually don't know the details on the packaging at the moment. I'm sure Nod will have more details on that as we get nearer to the release. I recall awhile back, there was talk about if it should be in a single or double case, I think we might also be including a 2nd disc that is the ost. I hope Atlus doesn't consider us competition, I just wanted to get peoples attention where I thought they might be interested, & who knows, maybe even some Atlus employees have a Turbo :)

As for the price, Nod decided on that price. I know we gotta make sure to cover the costs of having 1000 copies made, & any legal stuff as well. Also, this game is going to help fund 2 other games that very well could end up being released next year as well, the way things are looking(though, these 2 games have not been announced yet, their secret:))! I think it was around $1700 for pressing & manuals. I thought the game was going to be around $30, however, seeing as this is the most advance homebrew game made for the Turbo, it seems like a good price to me. Ofcoarse, since I'm a Turbo nut, I'd pay it in a heartbeat, but, that's just me.

Here's an unfinished example of a couple pages of the instruction manual.

I don't have a PC Engine. xD Looks good, though. I could use other means to play it, of course...

Yeah, a PC Engine or Turbo Grafx are not required, as there are other means of playing it....

Also, Nod decided to lower the price to $35!

Also, there may be as many as 6 new games for the Turbo CD next year! There's our(Frozen Utopia) stuff, which is Mysterious Song & 3 secret projects(2 of which will be revealed when Mysterious Song is released) though, none of those are Neutopia 3, that's gonna be a BIG game, plus, we would really like Hudson to approve of that one, maybe put it on the VC!

Then there's Arkhan of http://aetherbyte.com/ who just released Insanity(a great Berzerk clone). He has an arcade pack coming to the Turbo with advanced clones of various arcade games. When I say advanced, I don't just mean new sprites/tiles, paralax, music, etc. For instance, the Pac Man clone, the levels will be more then one screen, same goes for the Joust clone(Joustaroo, with Kangaroo's!), & the Jungle Hunt clone will be more of an adventure then the original, & there's the Defender clone(underwater), & the Skate or Die 2 ramp clone(at my request:)), as well as a multiplayer Insanity battle mode, & maybe another game or 2(Moonpatrol?)

And then there's Mindrec, who should be releasing Xymati by the end of the year. This game is pure shmup eye candy!
