Does anybody even use this spell? It's the most cost efficient way to heal but you can only use it on an ally and has an extremely slow cast animation.

For co-op I can see it being useful if more than one person in the group had the spell. Then they could just heal each other. I imagine it would be most useful for the poison swamp. You wouldn't have to worry about wasting royal lotus or healing grasses. That is if people could stand still long enough to actually have the spell used on them.

How about using it for invasions? While I was toying around with this spell I found out you could use it to heal enemies if you're a black phantom. When I first decided to test this I had invaded 1-4 and noticed the player was waiting around by the beginning of the level. As I ran into the level to get away from him I noticed the black phantom NPCs were still alive but had plague inflicted on them. I guess the guy was planning on letting the plague kill them but luckily for the black phantoms I'd invaded just the right world with just the right spell on hand. I cast relief on them and they were as good as new.

Of course even if you're healing non-violent enemies it's still a slow spell so you have to be sure there are no players around to kill you. And there's no point in healing a regular enemy that can be downed in a couple hits.

Then what would be some good healing targets for a black phantom?

I was thinking of testing if Vanguard could be healed by the spell too. Just hide behind him and keep him healed if you invade some players trying to kill him with ranged weapons. If they try to come near just double team them with Vanguard. Though, he's probably the only good target for something like this. Too bad other worlds don't have mini-bosses like Vanguard.

So is anybody getting some good use out of this spell or do you just see it as a waste of a spell slot?

Personally, BP point of view I don't think is useful, better of using the slot or stat point needed for something else.

Yeah it's pretty useless for a BP but after healing that NPC BP I decided to keep it around permanently just for the laughs. I don't use offensive spells and it's only 1 slot and 10 MP to cast so it's not really a big deal for me.

I was wondering if Resurrection could be used by an invader on Phantoms like a carebear version of Banish... or by a Phantom on himself along with others others rather than White Stone. I'm thinking of learning it ESPECIALLY FOR IDIOT BLUES WHO BLOCK THE PATH BEHIND ME WHEN I'M FIGHTING A GOLD SKELETON. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

I doubt it works, but this would be awesome.

I never found relief particularily useful but I would think if you co-op a lot. Like... a lot then it would probably be useful in certain situations. But even then, there are more efficient ways to deal with things.

I don't think it would be very helpful against an invader. Though it would be kinda funny if an invader suddenly healed everyone. The party would be like.. "WTF?"

Well you could use some tactics with a couple BluPs... for instance, I forgot the name but there's a ring to make all enemies attack you, so have a tank wear that, a 2nd person could be a ranged class, and a 3rd also ranged/healer.

I often use that ring.

It also increases enemies aggro radius, they'll start coming at you from farther away like the opposite of stealth. Useful in areas with lots of hidden enemies, I think.

Question: Waste your Pureblood Demon Soul to get a spell that does - more or less - what a grass can or use it to get a very useful weapon or two other REALLY useful spells?

I think its pretty self explanatory people. Sure, you can get relief in your fourth cycle to get the trophy but before that, imho, its just a waste of your PBDS.
