Does anybody even use this spell? It's the most cost efficient way to heal but you can only use it on an ally and has an extremely slow cast animation.
For co-op I can see it being useful if more than one person in the group had the spell. Then they could just heal each other. I imagine it would be most useful for the poison swamp. You wouldn't have to worry about wasting royal lotus or healing grasses. That is if people could stand still long enough to actually have the spell used on them.
How about using it for invasions? While I was toying around with this spell I found out you could use it to heal enemies if you're a black phantom. When I first decided to test this I had invaded 1-4 and noticed the player was waiting around by the beginning of the level. As I ran into the level to get away from him I noticed the black phantom NPCs were still alive but had plague inflicted on them. I guess the guy was planning on letting the plague kill them but luckily for the black phantoms I'd invaded just the right world with just the right spell on hand. I cast relief on them and they were as good as new.
Of course even if you're healing non-violent enemies it's still a slow spell so you have to be sure there are no players around to kill you. And there's no point in healing a regular enemy that can be downed in a couple hits.
Then what would be some good healing targets for a black phantom?
I was thinking of testing if Vanguard could be healed by the spell too. Just hide behind him and keep him healed if you invade some players trying to kill him with ranged weapons. If they try to come near just double team them with Vanguard. Though, he's probably the only good target for something like this. Too bad other worlds don't have mini-bosses like Vanguard.
So is anybody getting some good use out of this spell or do you just see it as a waste of a spell slot?
