I understand the story in Demon's Souls pretty well, but there are a few things I haven't seen an explanation for.
Where did all of the boss demons/ arch demons come from? From what I understand, when the "colorless fog" rolled in they were unleashed. So are they from an alternate dimension? It seems natural that some of the demons were already in the world. Like Dragon god, Storm King, etc... so they were joined by other lesser demons?
Also, what's the deal with the Maiden in Black? From what I read in the desciption of the soul sucker spell, she was once "one of the most dangerous demons" herself. Are the monumentals the ones who imprisoned her in the Nexus? And are her intentions good or evil? When we jumped down into the pit to meet the old one it seemed to me that she was in league with him. She said she had brought him a new demon, or something like that. So was she really acting on the old one's will the whole time?
Also also... Do all of the archstones teleport you to a place that's in the same world? Are all of the areas (Boletarian palace, shrine of storms, etc..) in the kingdom of Boletaria? Or are they in far away countries or even different worlds?
