I can't help you in game, but I can tell you that you can shoot through the fog wall and kill the first maneater with arrows. Just stand as left as you can on the fog wall and you'll be able to magically shoot through the wall in precision mode.

I always do that, makes the fight half as hard :D

What's your build? You can always go defeat the other areas first and make that your last priority. I seem to always do that.

You must be pretty good. SL 63 is when I FINALLY beat him in NG with the help of a great blue.

Holy ####, are you serious? Prior to learning about his massive fire weakness he was by far the hardest boss in the game for me, and I always carry a bow... Damn, that's cheap, but I feel cheated for learning about it now.

I would suggest either try and try until you get it, even if you get killed, you will learn to be a better player by dodging etc. Or you could always clear the world 4 and farm the flying rays at the end, it should lvl you quick at 63.

Shooting throu the door with arrows is always an option, but its pretty lame. If you made it to NG+ at lvl 63, that means you arent trying to get an easy way out uh?

Yep. Only thing that matters is if you're within range of each other's SL. That and one person of course has to be in soul form, while the other has their body.

maneaters were the hardest boss fight to date for me.

whooped flamelurker's behind with ease... maneaters... think it took me good 30-40 minutes... maybe longer, not sure. :|

you die alot in this game but I've never had to die that much to pass a level... my gawd.

anyway, you know that big bowl looking thing in the middle? use that to your advantage. ;)

sophie-anne, I have tremendous respect for the fact that you want to finish NG+ no higher than SL65. If its not a secret I would be very interested in your character build and play style.

hey 2much i got through man eater soul level 63. Magician, I use monks head wrappings, kris blade, can't get hit much, put all my souls into magic and intelligence. mostly I spend my time invading .

Meaneater dies by one or two good hit firestorm with Kris Blade + Monk + Magic Sharpness + Cleaver Rats. So cast a 2nd chance and burn him!

I find the boss fairly easy as he doesn't hit too hard for a good Vitality melee character, you just have to be paitent enough not to rush him at all out of safe place. (out of goblet) Poison Cloud helps to cut the waiting time shorter as well.

If all else fails, you can always shoot him before you enter the fog. =)

I would actually not use Monk Wrapping to invade or pvp, as it gives away my mage identity right off the bat. With popular warding choice, it's often you'd run into AMF as well.

Congratulations! Thanks for answering my question. Pure mage build huh? High risk reward, but I guess you can one or two shot most things in this great game. If your having luck PvPing as a mage you must be doing something right because most players think it's a weak build for PvP. I don't know why because that dreaded monk head owns me. Most of the time I see those speedy backstabber types which seems to becoming more and more popular. Thanks again sophie-anne and if I ever get invaded by your monk head believe me I don't mind because if I'm standing around in body form it can only mean I want a darker WT and or a FUN FIGHT! yeah he was a pain in the ass for me too, got so frustrated at him i damn near broke the DS disk, now I'm stuck on the last boss old king allian same situation xept i find the way to the king to be way more frustrating than the maneater ugh why did they decide to throw in all these annoying obstacles by the most difficult bosses seriously.
