I don't mind getting invaded by black phantoms, I really don't. But tonight's sole invasion cost me quite a bit. I lost, as usual, let's get that out of the way. No biggie right?..............Normally yes is the answer to that, but I was in 1-3 at the top of the steps where the 3 archers and the first fat official are. I killed the fat official by slinging arrows from the staircase, but never got to the drop (the all important ring of iron keys) because I was killed by an invading black phantom before I could get there.

Now you know how much this is going to screw up my game. This means no way to get to Biorr, no way to get the bloody iron keys, and no way to rescue the Witch in the tower. I'm not mad about the invasion, but rather at how incomplete this playthrough will now be. Bummer eh? :very_sad:

There's no way to trade for keys is there? I tried to drop a copper key that I had, but the "drop item" button is grayed out...

Question, why would you attempt that knowing the risk of BP present ingame =.=!

Wait, I thought it will respawn at the place? I heard before it will respawn on the same place the key. Please check if is there.

Why would I attempt what exactly? Going for the drop? I killed the official before the invasion and I didn't have a chance to get there is all. The invasion happened right afterwards. I wasn't caught running for it, I was killed in the battle with the phantom. Unfortunetely, I went back to where the fat official was slain and there was no glowy yellow orb, so no, they don't respawn,, ugh......:(

You might wanna check the level further sometimes it has a "static" reset location it moves to if you die.

I know I knocked miralda into the pit and her axe appeared where she stands normally when I left and came back.

...I also accidentally fell into the pit going for that colorless demons soul after booting her down the ladder and after coming back into the game I got her armor.

Granted the fat official isn't the same as a BP...ya never know.

I had a bit of a similar problem also but I think it has to do more with glitches more than anything. I had just killed the Fat official next to the gate, and then Ostrava was being attacked by the two Red Knights, and of course I rushed in and Got killed. Difference is that I had looted the Fat Official and got the keys. But when I respawned and killed the Knights the next time, the Fat Official was glowing again and I took the keys and loot again. Or rather from the game's perspective for the first time. but I have alot of glitches in my game though (world tendencey not working, Freezing, etc.) so This may not help at all.

Hmmm... I turned off the system, then started the game back up. Lo and behold, good ol' fat body was laying on the ground clinching the keys... not in the spot I killed him, but in between the 3 archers... Yay! I originally did go back after I died, but the body and the orb were gone.. so I take back what I said about the orb not respawning....:D I still feel unbelievably lucky though...

Huzzah! Good job! I would feel really lucky too. At least you have it now!

I had a horror story today when my power cut out for a second. I flipped out because I was afraid that my save would have been corrupted. Thankfully, everything was alright but I almost went on a rampage.
