View Full Version : Left hand curved sword flourish = ?

Ok, I'll just post this question here, since no one is answering the question on this other thread:
When you wield a curved blade in the left hand, the heavy attack button does a spinning flourish move. I've never seen this have any effect in combat.
Does anyone know what it's for?

Parrying I assume.

If you have no weapon equipped in the left hand and use L2 it also does this goofy sideways chop...but it's hilarious to deflect shots off knights in 1 with.

Yeah you are right. That is the curved sword's parrying animation. Swords have an R2 parrying, while the rest weapons do a heavy blow with it.
