farming souls

NG+ i really like farming 4-4. strorm ruler sword and soul ray. with ring on i'm getting almost 40,000 in less then 10 minutes.

anyone else doing this?

4-2 will forever be my favorite place. I can get 120k+ every 10 minutes on my first game if I do it correctly and don't screw up. That's with a ring of avarice tho~

I think you're supposed to kill the bp dual katana guy near the entrance to the slug cave in black wt. With soul sucker he gives you >50000 souls. He sometimes drops a pure bladestone (1 out of a million tries :p).

I feel like speeding through the entire game as fast as possible nets souls incredibly fast. Each time you beat the game, every enemy and boss gives you more souls, I think. If you can handle the small difficulty increases.

Yeah they do. I got 130k off storm ruler on just NG+, it was about 80k in NG

But given enemies in areas like 2-1 which give absolute crap for souls when compared to enemies like the BP Katana skelly which gives an impressive amount of souls. So Time/Souls Obtained beating the game and beating bosses over and over is actually less productive.

To be honest... i don't know why no one considers the octopusmen at the end of 3-3 as a good grinding spot... in NG+, with silver bracelet, ring of A, and soulsucker, i can get around 20000 per kill without any risk (each kill takes about 1 minute and you can easily kill 2 of them per run).

40k per run in 2-2.5 minutes isn't bad.

silver bracelet is for girls? is there some mens garb that can increase souls? or can male characters use that item?

There is no male equivalent to the sliver bracelet for male characters. The reason some people don't consider the end of 3-3 for farming is because 4-2 Black Phantom skeletons get more souls per min.

There's even a video on youtube showing how to get about 150k souls per min.
