2-2 guys take no damage :(

ive beat 1-1 1-2 and 2-1
but now in 2-2 they armored lava guys take almost no damage, about 25 with a two handed R2

im using P damage...is that wrong?
is there something i can do to get threw these guys a lil faster or are they just slow kills?

By armored lava guys, you mean Bearbugs? If so, yes Piercing is the wrong way to approach them. You're better off using Magic damage(crescent/moon weapons), but I believe(and my memory is shaky on this as I always use magic weapons there) blunt works too.

For the lizardmen, piercing and magic are the way to go. Generally, a good Moon weapon will serve you for the entire level, though for the worms a nice bow/x-bow do just fine if you have no spells.

Bearbugs take forever to kill using melee weapons, but they move slow and have predictable attack patterns.

Worms can also be killed quite easily using 2 handed weapons but it's riskier then a bow. It still only takes 1 smack to their face if you time it right.

Bugbears are resistant to physical attacks, even blunt. Talk to Boldwin and he'll relate a story about fighting the bugbears.

o well that sux, i only have a winged spear +7 (going for scraping spear which is why i need 2-2 bosses soul)

i guess ill go get a moon wepon, anysuggestions on wep type thats fun?

also if anyone knows who Archdemon is i would love to know, cant get into 1-3 without killing him...

An arch-demon is the final boss of any of the five worlds. You might as well complete 2-2, then complete 2-3 to kill world 2's arch-demon.

Also, even with magical weapons, those huge bearbugs deep down in the lava-tunnels still take forever to kill. I mean forever! I hate them.

For your first cycle, the Crescent Falchion found in 4-1 is a decent weapon for area 2-2. If all you really want is to kill the boss, though, why not take the right path? It only has a couple items, and one hall of enemies, but it'll get you right to the boss, albeit with less shiny things. It's still worth farming through the left path at least once, but nothing is stopping you from saving that til later when you've got more appropriate equipment.

All i did was figre out it's tactics then just smaked it loads with a stormruler and a Magic sword of MAKOTO and i killed it after about 10/5 hits!

My Lord had a lot of trouble with this level as well. The tunnels with the giant bearbugs took him a long time to complete. Lucky for him he had a lot of magic.
