Poison vs. plague?

Sorry if there is already a thread about this, but I'm really wondering what people think. Poison seems to act faster, and carries the half-effect healing items thing. Plague seems to act really slow and have no other effects... or am I missing something?

Plague never wears off, unless you or the enemy uses a cure. Poison has to be cast over and over again. Plague works on several black phantom NPCs and old King Doran--and you need to cast it only once to kill them. Poison works on flamelurker and the red dragon--and you have to cast it several times. When I took on Yurt's armour, I had changed... ;)

At the very least, if you leave plague untreated, it will start to spike in damage like no tomorrow, and you're basically doomed. =X

Other than that, I need to play with it more, I think it also has an effect on your stamina, but this needs confirmation, as I'm going on memory here.

Yeah plague affects your stamina regeneration. Quite nasty I gotta say.

Yeah, I'm more concerned with pvp, I gotta say. If plague does affect stamina regen, then that's a big deal, but half-effect heals is pretty heavy also. I hope to hear from more people about what they feel is more effective...

plague is a bitch on stamina. Can change the combat scenario very quickly.

a little off topic, but try using both. Plague and poison its a good combo killer for pvp. Throw in acid cloud or some bleeding factors, and you got yourself a kill.

And if it's a bp, then he's going to lose a soul level--supposedly dot damage delevels.

if you have anti magic, does it protect you from those things?

You can stop them from casting if they are in the zone, but if their out of range they can cast into the anti magic zone and still get it if you run into it.
