what rings do you....

just wondering what rings you guys use when in human and soul form,

when in human i usally use regen and frag rings and in soul cling and frag or cling and friend. and of course during certain situations i'll use the others but those are the main ones.

Ring 1: Ring of Great Strength (allows me to wear good armor and still roll like a champ)
Ring 2: Depends on the situation. Thief, Regen, Avarice

Soul
Ring 1: Cling
Ring 2: Again, depends on the situation. I use the Great Strength and Friend ring a lot, but it's usually along the same lines.

Ring 2: Thief / Graverobber, but usually Avarice

I doubt I've even got half of the rings in the game, but I'm usually wearing the Fragrance Ring and the Thief Ring, even when in soul form - I just take the risk of having less life and depend on very defensive tactics in order to stay alive... er.. dead(?). I've gotten too use to both of these rings' effects to sacrifice one for the Cling Ring when in soul form.

I like the Old King's ring (eternal warrior's ring), but changing rings depending on the situation is frequent for me. Lately, I don't use the Cling ring, because I'm suicidal.

Body: Smart, Dull Rat Ring (Host), Foe Ring (World 3 Boss)

Soul: Foe Ring, Cling Ring.

For those using Smart/ Dull Rat ring, you might need to consider Cling, cause you go into hyper mode based on percentage of your MHP, cling ring will increase that value and you get into hyper with more hp & earlier.

Alive: Regen/Thief, but I'll switch one or the other out for circumstantial things.

Spirit: Cling/Thief is my go-to, with Cling/Regen for most bosses.


I wore the thief's ring through most of NG just on principal alone, even though I wasn't 100% sure how effective it was, then in world 3 and 4 I started playing with other rings until I was ready to snap my sixaxis in half in 4-2 out on the cliff side with the skeletons and the manta rays. A friend reminded me that the thief's ring should hide me from them, and after that I stopped taking it off unless I had a good reason.

Ring of Great Strength, keeps my equip burden under 50% of max, which gives fast rolls while using the tower shield + faster stamina regen.
Eternal Warrior's Ring, stamina regen.

Soul : Ring of Magical Sharpness (Cling Ring if extra HP is needed), Thief Ring

I've gotten too used to the Thief Ring to take it off, and, being a mage, I love the extra 'umpf' my spells get from the Magical Sharpness.

Edit: Forgot to add: I carry just about every ring in the game, for when situations call for them - can never be too prepared in Demon's Souls. When I need to use a different specific ring, it's generally switched out for the Ring of Magical Sharpness, as I like to keep the Thief Ring on at all times.

Playing a melee heavy Priest i use:

alive: Eternal Warrior // Master's (I love stamina and sticked to my Mace)
dead: Cling // +one of the above // Thiefs. Sometimes Avarice when i want to level up badly.

I got all but 2 or so rings, but it really comes down to these. I barely ever use the resistance rings, except for Flamelurker maybe.
