If you kill them as Black Phantoms...

Hello people, something crossed my mind so I am gonna draw from the community's infinite knowledge to put my soul to rest (t3h 3p1c).

I was wondering if killing an NPC in Black Phantom form (Satsuki, Rydell, etc.) makes it impossible to interact or locate them in their normal body forms. Logically, that would make sense but I deem it highly unlikely. Would like a second opinion though. ;)

PS. I was thinking about upgrading Rydell's staff all the way (requires Colorless Souls). My char is mostly DEX & INT but I keep his STR high enough, so if the bonuses get high enough on these stats the weapon should perform well. What is your opinion?

If Satuski and Co. are black phantoms you can attack them, all it really does is prevent the player from collecting the item(if they don't know that they are dead). If Satsuki and Co. are not black phantoms you can not do anything to them.

Thanks for the attempt friend but thats not what I asked. My question was whether or not you will be able to meet the as LIVING people after you kill their BP forms.

Bleh, technicalities. As long as you did not kill them in their body form they should be there, exception being Satsuki seeing as he dies either way.

Yes you can, as killing their BP forms then returning the world to pure white makes them still appear.

Actually Satsuki appears without it being pure white he just appears on top of that well, you can even shoot him with a bow.

I killed Satsuki and re-entered 4-1 with him showing up again.

I assume that if a normal player does it fine that a BP player won't have a different effect.
