Soul LvL and Physical Defense?

If two characters and they are the same exact soul level "say 107" If they both are naked, they have nothing on them. Will there physical defense be the exact same?

I think that every stat adds to physical defense, so yes I think that is true they will be the same. I'll confirm this when I beat 1-1

if they are completely naked without anything boosting their defense and they are at the same soul level, then yes. They should have the same exact physical defense.
