What name will you give the Female Protagonist?

With the release of Persona 3 Portable coming soon, it's about time we thought about what name to give the Female Protagonist!

If I wanted to name her something similar to the Male Protagonist's name, then I'd name her Akiko Arisato. Akiko's a cute name in my opinion. :) Minako Arisato sounds way too generic to me.

As for a unique last name, I'd go with Hikari, based off of Netto Hikari's last name in RockMan.EXE.

Again, I'm just maintaining my MT tradition on the surname (Koganei for girls, Saito for boys). If and when I decide to replay Male MC's route, I'll still name him Nagashi Saito like with my PS2 file.

As for a unique name, I'd go with Akiko Hikari. Maybe change it up a bit using a different season, such as Natsuko Hikari, or Haruko Hikari.


Here is a tip from Japan if you want to give them a unique name DON'T put "ko" on the end.

I'll continue giving the Kanji "kami" (god) for my Persona main character (at least for P3 and P4).

As for my male Main, Kazuki Sakgami. Just like I name him in my PS2 version.

I named (and still name) the male protagonist Satoru Akahoshi. I'll have to play around with the kanji so the female protag sounds related, like the parents had a similar thought naming her as him.

MomoChan, could you please use black text? Moving from one post to the next, trying to read colored text is jarring and hurts the eyes. You probably don't see it because you make your posts in black. Its nice to find ways to express ourselves, but lighter colors are best used for emphasis rather than general posting.

As for addressing the topic itself. I've always used Mock as a male name for my characters. Long Story, but it was inspired by a character I created in Wrestlemania 2000 back in college. I made a character making fun of The Rock, so I called him The Mock and I've used that for a lot of RPGs ever since.

For SMT games, I usually go with Mock Tsu. A boy named Tsu.

For female characters, I do a spin on that- Mockeryna. See what I did there?

So this one would probably be Mockeryna Tsu

The Foobar handle is my original FFXI character's name, I just thought it sounded cool for a Tarutaru. Sometimes I use that in other RPGs, but not so much as Mock.

Since I have a terrible sense of humor, I'll probably name the MShe either Armageddon Mclovin or IfYouSeekAmy. But if I'm playing for the first time, I'll either name her Minako just because.

I gave a male protaganist my nickname in a video game once, because I was too lazy to come up with a name for him. :devil: It turned out that two of the npcs had names that were variations on the name I gave him! (no joke.) It was pretty bizarre. Especially, since they kept calling him by a girls name...

That was kind of off topic. What I mean to say is, I'm really excited about P3P. I wish more video games gave you a gender option.

Well, I usually keep with any names given in other adaptions (Minato, Soji, etc.) but since there isn't one here, I'll probably stick with the Arisato, but give her the first name Misaki or something close to it.
