was i just to elevated when i played through NG or do you never actually fight that huge dragon thing from the opening movie. also dont recall ever being completely surrounded like in the opening vid

Yes it is. Also the opening scene is just that, an opening scene. Don't take it too literally.

The only one thing in the vid that doesn't make sense is right before you see the Dragon God, there are like 4 or 5 blue phantoms spawning... Which is... Not right! They shoulda thrown in a black phantom in there somewhere.

Totally, he should be acid cloud'ing the main character.

Its not the right color, but after watching it again, it did look more similar than I had remembered.

You forgot to notice that in the cutscene and in-game, they're in two different environments. In the cutscene, he's out in the open, probably dried up and whatnot. But in-game, he's in a pool of lava, so that's why he has such a lighter color. Makes sense no?

Maybe, although I dont turn red when Im standing next to the lava, so maybe he sucks up the lava? if that were the case when he died it probably would have all drained back into the pool. good theory, but I dont know if thats it

Yeah and the manta demon thing is totally out of it's envioronment to.

The Dragon God in the cutscene is what the developers want you to know what they imagine him to look like, but in the in-game version they can't make it exactly the same with all the detail they need to add. The boss would just be rather bland if it was all just toe fungus brown.
