I need to send my ps3 in for service and I know they are going to give me a refurb. Does anyone know if you can backup your saved data and restore it on a different ps3? Or is there a way you can backup your Demon's Souls saved game?

I've gotten platinum in both the American and Asian version and have all the maxed and unique weapons. Not to mention my characters leveled to 150.

couldnt you move the save file to a flash drive? we save and share rosters on sports games all the time. Not sure if this will work for you though with this game

nope, copy protected.

The only back-up that can be done is full HDD and then restore to the original PS3.

Looks like you are out of luck unless someone figures it out.

You cant copy it unfortunately ... ~.~..
I did have issue with my PS3 and ended up have to re-play my character.

If your ps3 is already out of warranty, sent/try to find a 'mom & pop shop' that can fix it (not refurbing it). Instead of sending it to Sony, since most likely they are going to send you a refurb.

Well, the whole story is that I got the YLOD. I fixed it and it worked for a week, but it went YLOD on me again yesterday. I got it back up and running, but I'm going to send it in before it goes out for good.

I would have liked to keep my over 200 hours I've poured into this game.

It's a dumb policy anyway for Atlus. I know the whole point is so that people have to play the game with whatever mistake you make, but the downside of this far outweighs making the game harder.

They need to patch the game to fix this or send a user a patch to take off the copy protection for one use or something.
