I've read 2 separate places that he drops darkmoonstone shards & chunks. Is this incorrect? I killed him around 20 times last night and all I got was shards. Can someone please confirm? Thanks.

I get darkmoonstone shards 80% of the time from the reaper in 4-2 and I get chunks 20% of the time, get your drop rate up; it really helps.

My luck is at 10. I thought that only affected frequency of drops not type of item dropped. Something definitely seems wrong. If he drops a chunk 20% of the time I really would think I'd get at least one chunk out of 25 tries. Is there maybe something I have to do first before he'll drop chunks? I just beat adjutacator then went straight to farming the reaper.

I don't know, but my luck is 23 so it is a good bit higher than yours.

there is also a weapon drop you can get from them :P i know the first one you encounter has a chance of dropping it. never seen it on the other two but i assume their loot tables are the same.

Ive got like 2 of those wepons. I also read somewhere that if you have a luck of 9 you seem to get less drops but they are the rare ones only... somekind og bug or something. I dont know if this is true or not though.

Remember, as the world tendency goes to Black, the drop rate AND quality of drops improves. So the Reapers may drop Chunks more often if you've got a darker World Tendency.

Remember, as the world tendency goes to Black, the drop rate AND quality of drops improves. So the Reapers may drop Chunks more often if you've got a darker World Tendency.
Also remember that killing them becomes more difficult aswell

dont knock the war scythe....that weapon is BEAST i just recently put it in my box.....also it has bleeding on it
i farmed that damn reaper forever with my 7luck till i got one lol....its suprisingly easy to go at your starting level and solo adjusticator...even before you take out the tower knight.....it just tends to take a little while depending on your weapon

Adjudicator is a horrible boss, I beat him on my first try without being hit even once... strategy is almost the same as vangaurd just where you attack is different. The problem though is getting to him, you have to go through some pretty strong baddies...

or you can try to manipulate your tendency to Pure Black for more drop chances ^^b

Thing is farming him for the scythe is stupid. There is one sitting on a corpse just waiting to be looted in 5-2 already.

unless you want 2, or you tried to pick up the first were over burdened and left for the nexus causing it to disappear or.... fill in reason here.

Don't waste your time with the reaper for dm chunks. You will get plenty from the 2 lizards when you fight the Storm King. Not to mention, when you start trying to farm a pure bladestone, the reaper on the way will give you way more than you will ever need.
Tip: Always try to farm in Pure Black. The drop rate of better items doubles for most things.

i wish i wasnt greedy....i want it ALL!!! i favor the kilij and due to muling from a char i have 4 +5 versions.....i just need to lvl my guy up to re transfer lol

OK, finally got some chunks last night. It appears luck of 12 is the magic number. Once I leveled my luck to 12 they started dropping.
So far I have gotten some chunks of darkmoonstone, like 4-5 war scyths, 1 Uchigna (sp), and many shards of moon stone form the reaper in 4-2
On another note, anything have 1 pure darkmoonstone I could have/would let me trade for?
I can seem to get them from the CG.
