If NIS were to make a fighting cameo fighting game.
How do you think it should be down out?
Should it be done on a 2-d area plain like guilty gear and smash bros.?
Or a 3-d plain like Power stone or dragon nest.

Also which characters should be in it? and what area's for stages do you thing out world out as well. Also what could they do to make a player keep playing.

This would be my pick for a roster:

Default: Laharl, Etna, Ash, Flonne, Gorden, Marona, Adell, Mao, Almaz, Prier

Unlock: Zetta, Pleinair, Gig, Danette, Kurtis, Marjoly, Prinny, Cornet, Walnut, Axel, Mid-boss

DLC: Pram, Sprout, Rozalin, Hero Prinny, Overlord Priere, Baal, Item god, York Neely, Lamington

As for replayablity, Online play is a must. Also maybe a survival challenge mode. And just for the sake of the fans, an item world.

What would you do?

Yes, I know its a bit crazy, and will most likely never happen, but its fun to imagine it right? I would like to have an actual discussion, or something.

Here's what I think:
It should be hand drawn 2d
It should play similar to Guilty Gear and BlazBlue.
Control's should be an 8 way joystick, and 4 buttons (Light,Medium,Strong, and burst)
Burst would be used for EX version's of special moves (which would in turn use up your super gauge), plus it can be used as a launcher for air combos. (Hold down or down right on the joystick, and press the burst button.)
As much as I like the music in disgaea and other NIS games, I would prefer a rock soundtrack, just because I think it would get the blood boiling.
Plus Routou, it should have a story mode for each character, similar to blazblue's explaining why Adell is fighting Prier, and so forth.
Also, due to it being hand drawn 2d, it would be difficult to get so many character's available in the development cycle. I say keep it down to around 15-20 characters, and add new ones as a dlc expansion, along with character balancing and the like.

Here is my 15 character roster, character's with a (U) next to them would be unlockable:
Adell
Rozalin
Laharl
Etna
Mao
Flonne
Prier
Pleinair
Leon (Original)
Nicole (Original)
Pram (U)
Éclair (U)
Overlord Prier (U)
Mid Boss (U)
Overlord Zenon (U, Final Boss)

Now for those of you wondering who in the world are Nicole and Leon are, they are 2 completely brand new characters. Leon not being your typical samurai (He has the Upper armor of a samurai and a katana, but wears camo pants and hiking boots instead of the lower armor.) and Nicole is a Carmilla class succubus. Basically Leon is on a quest to avenge the death of his Mother and Father, who were killed at the hands of Zenon, and Nicole act’s as his guide through the world.

1 more thing I should add, Character’s like Laharl and Etna would undergo a Redesign to make them appear older, just because it would look weird having Adell beating the crap out of someone as small as Laharl.

pretty much agree with you guys here, although Laharl looking older might be a bit strange.

it should also have either 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 combat

and how about the ability to customize characters? That could be fun.

Doing custom color's would be fine, but costume customization on 2d sprite's would be pretty difficult. And i do agree that a Tag battle feature would be nice, but keep it to 2 on 2, just because of the character limit.
