If NIS receives 1,000 pre-orders for the UMD version by 11/13, they'll go ahead and start production.

Preorder here:

I put my money where my mouth is.

I do too... but only when I'm REALLY hungry!

Pretty pointless IMO. I bought it the day it came out and I don't regret it.

I preordered it. Always wanted this game, but I like to stay away from virtual copies if possible.

Aww, RQ still needs 674 more units to start the production... Considering the fact that the pre-order deadline is 11/13, I'm not sure if the UMD version is likely :(.

Cam you only pre-order through rosenqueen?

Yes. Which sucks balls.

However, it's probably easier to cancel the project if it falls through, that way. With that many preorders left to go, the whole thing seems unlikely.

I could just be a horribly cynical person, but the whole "start production" thing seems like an overblown claim to me anyway, when chances are they'd just grab some EU UMDs and slap the US age rating on them :P

But with 674 more units to go, we won't even get EU UMDs :very_sad:.

Thank you very much for your participation and your support. Unfortunately, due to not meeting our demand of 1,000 units of Preorder, we will not be able to create the UMD version for “Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman!™ What Did I Do to Deserve This?”. We truly understand your disappointment in not having this item. In the future, we are considering to have the Badman 2 release on UMD. We truly would appreciate your patience and your understanding. Again, we truly apologize for the many inconveniences to all of our valuable fans. Thank you for your continuous support.

You've lost the battle, but...Maybe not the war?

Yeah, it was a huge disappointment, although it was expected.

Not a huge deal. The DL version is already available, and if you really wanted the retail copy in English, you can import the EU version.

It was nice what NISA did. It didn't work out, but life goes on.

At least Badman 2 is most likely going to be UMD...

My friend thought NISA was kidding about the 1000 preorders thing.

Don't really see the point.

I can get it on PSN, it barely takes up any space on my memory stick. I don't think it even exceeds 41 MB.

This is where the preference of a physical copy mystifies me. 1.6 GH download? Yeah, I'd want a physical copy, too. But 41 MB isn't worth my shelf space.

Space really seems too trivial to play a role in whether you prefer a physical or hard copy, IMO.
