Questions on starting a NG

I just finished beating all the demons and I was wondering if after I kill the Old One do I have to start a NG because there are other things that I want to attempt to grab before I start over like getting Dorans armour. And if I can keep going with my game does the black maiden return to the Nexus so I can continue to lvl up with my souls. Lastly, when I start a NG what items do I get to keep if any? Thanks for your help. ;)

Alright... You defeated all the demons, so talking to the Maiden will throw you down the hole to confront the Old One. If you're wanting to wrap up some things, I suggest not doing this.

As for what you keep... I believe you keep everything but the keys. By that I mean the ones for the Tower of Latria and the Palace.

Lunatic is correct. The only things you lose are the various different keys you acquire over the course of the game.

Ah thanks so pretty much after I beat him then I'm forced into a Ng....well I guess I better get to work on Doran. Time for me to get raped hard lol.

if you restert ng does blacksmith ed come back to life, somehow he was killed and i can't get hi-level weapons. many suggestions

All npc's reset to thier new game conditions. The only "world" changes that stay in place is your WT's and CT.

One more question before I hop into a NG will the souls that I earned carry over so that I can level up or should I spend them all now?

Does all your stuff stay with stockpile thomas too?
