Identifying target(BP) weakness

umm... this happened last night i was in the Stonefang Tunnel Bridge (the ones where the scale workers throwing the stones)was fighting against a BP that wield a large sword.
Upon accessing the emote gesture section (well.. i am trying to be polite, but he still started to hacking with his large sword to me anyways hahaha). I somewhat pressed something instead of giving a bow gesture and it ended up saying on the screen 'target is weak against magic' something along the line in a split seconds.

I ended up running around and soul arrow-ing the BP which hit him over 100 damages and sent back the invader back to their world.
funny thing is also the same person also invaded me again after another BP invade (total invasion last night was = 3 invasions), and this time no soul arrows, all are just shield and hacking action which so much fun (err.. sorry off topic)

umm... now.. unless i am dreaming or imagining things about identifying weaknesses,... can someone confirm this??

ya now ive come to the point i understand the game very well i like being invaded...unless im really trying to do something or get a gecko so i can forge my weapon or something then its extremely annoying

i started off on a horrible foot with pvp on this game due to pricks who just want to waste your time and not even attempt to fight you....but now the more i play the better it gets

my fav all time tactic of the BP is the hey i bet the map isnt cleared out so i will run away and use the NPC for allies against this guy....while he gets backstabbed lol.....i never understand what they are thinking

and then also, now that i am at the point i dont mind messing around i will sit at my comp and just wait to be invaded being cloaked near the spawn point....and if they survive the inital attack they tend to run away leaving me at the starting point to summon 2 blue phantoms....sometimes i just dont understand people but whatever its fun nonetheless when battling
