I'm having a hell of a time getting cloudstone chunks :mad:

The 4 - 4 left overs won't drop them... my luck's at 19 I believe.

"darkmoon stone is the harder, well you can buy the shards np.....for the chunks you need to have black CHARACTER tendency....the World Tendancy but character tendancy

if you have this....the reaper in 4-2 will give you 3 chunks every single time you kill him and he is very close to the nexus teleporter...very fast and very efficient

I have a WCT right now, so chunks have been harder to come across... Shards are no problem. I have so many, Stockpile Thomas keeps telling me he can't hold anymore of 'em. Why not?! 99 little shards of rock is your limit, but you'll still take a huge of amount of other items that are much bigger no problem? Haha..

I'm just trying to upgrade my Crescent Falchion +4 to +5. And I have enough chunks. But I still haven't come across a Pure Darkmoonstone. I've read you can get them off of the Crystal Lizards in 4-2 and 4-3, but the 4-3 lizards are being stubborn in their drops and I can't even find the 4-2 one. I hear he's in a secret passage, along with a Black Skeleton and a White Bow, but I can't manage to find it.

Go one or two flights up the stairwell to the left of the stairs the first reaper on 4-2. There's a doorway that just looks like a wall because its bricked up. If memory serves, its a little bit wavey. Hit it and the wall goes away. Beware the skeleton. Either run straight at him and roll around (plenty of space but be careful) or make him follow you downstairs to the reaper area for an easier place to dodge. After that there's a gecko to your left where the skeleton was, probably already suiciding. And all the way down, there's one of the best bows you can get, the white bow. Supply that baby with heavy arrows and you can farm the 4-2 reaper all day!

Really the 4-4 guys drop loads of cloudstone for me. Somtimes though they get stuck ontop of one of the rocks and I can't reach it so that pisses me off. Try using the large sword of searching and a bow that may help you. And I forget where I was able to get lots of Bladestone if I remember I will let you know.

Honestly I think the skeltons of 4-X give you bladestone. That and any red eyed skeleton I've come across.

Yeah I know that they give you bladestones but the chunks are usually found by the skeletons on 4-2, which are very few and far between. Plus that damn red skeleton in 4-2 takes a little while to kill. Maybe I'm unlucky but he always just drops shards.

The best bet is black WT as it increases drop rates and high luck paired with a large sword of searching in the offhand. Here is a run down of where you can find generic mobs or loots that will drop the stones....

Faintstones = 5-2
Moonstones = 3-1
Marrowstones = 5-1
Spiderstones = 2-1 and 2-2
Suckerstone = 5-2 and 4-2
Bladestone = 4-1 and 4-2
Cloudstone = any 4 zone ideally 4-3
Hardstone = 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, and 2-2
Sharpstone = 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, and 2-2
Greystone = 2-2
Mercurystone = 3-2
Darkmoonstone = 4-2
Meltstone = 2-1
Dragonstone = 2-2
Clearstone = 1-3 and 1-4 looted from lots of areas though

Yesterday I got the my Bladestone, Cloudstone, Darkmoonstone, Mercurystone, Suckerstone and Moonlight stone weapons all upgraded to max. This is what I did. I'm playing NG+

This is the BEST farming technique in the game, hands down by the way. You have to have the spell soulsucker to do it. You get that by beating the game with the good ending and acquiring the Maiden in Black's soul. The Witch is the one how teaches you the spell. I leveled up to 136 using this technique.
World 4
Bladestones - Pure and Chunks
Clear out 4-1 and 4-2. Now put the world in pure black tendency and stay in soul form. From the 4-3 portal, backtrack past the shining white lights and slugs and take out the reaper up the stairs with a bow. Make sure you have your thiefs ring on. Keep backtracking until you see the BP Black Skeleton. He will be facing the opposite way. From when you see him, walk slowly behind him till you are just past the arch and soul suck him. It will net you 56K souls with him alone, plus the 11K from the reaper for a total of 66K souls in about 2 minutes! I had 15 luck and the sword of searching equipped in my off hand. I started at level 87 so you can see how long it took.

Suckerstones - Pure and Chunks
on your way to doing the above, drop down into the water and kill the slugs with a sword of searching. You will eventually get the pure stone and the chunks needed way before you get your bladestone.

Cloudstones
Once you did the above, leave the world in Black. Kill the Storm King, but DONT go to the nexus. Instead, suicide to get rid of your body. All the baby rays will respawn and you just kill them with your Storm Ruler with your sword of searching in your offhand behind the building until you farm the chunks. Bring a few Ed's stones because that sword will break relatively fast.

Darkmoon
The lizards in the above area(two) will drop darkmoon pure stones. There will be 4 cycles of them. Equip your bow and put it into hyper mode(always carry the Mokoto Sword with you) those lizards will run off the cliff if you aren't careful. You can run in the middle and cast Gods Wrath also, if you got it. One will most definitely drop a pure stone out of 8. You'll get the chunks by default from the reaper when farming the bladestones.

World 3
Mercury Chunks
Clear out 4-1 and 4-2 (kill maneater) and put the world to black
The celebrity vermin(face bugs) are the only things that drop the mercury chunks. Just keep farming them with your sword of searching. The pure stone is picked up off a body in Maeden Aestea's Lair.

Moonlight Ore
All of these are picked up from the crystal lizards in World 3. I got my pure stone off the lizard right before entering the Monk.


TIP with Lizards
ALWAYS have your thieves ring on and hunt them in hyper mode. In NG+, the lizards will take two shots. If you have the Morion blade in your off hand I would imagine it would take one. For those of you who don't know, Hyper mode is when you have the Clever Rat's Ring equipped and are below 30% HP. It does double damage, triple if you have the Morion Blade.

My best farming tech. thus far has been 4 -4 using soul ray with magic boost ring on. Takes them down fast and one hit (my magics at 40).

I just started to farm it for chunks and have gotten a few, though i'm still on neutral, will go to dark here shortly then start working on bladestone to. I'll try that back tracking tech. :)

ugh ugh ugh 3 play through and no pure drops for the 3 - x lizards!!!

I mean at least I can continue to work on bladestone without starting a new game. Jeez.

I'm longing for a chunk of sharpstone so I can upgrade my kilij to +7 and make a large sword of searching. I've been farming ore in 2-1 and 2-2 for a while and I seem to be getting every kind of ore except the one I need! I've got some other chunks of ore and some other pretty good items I would be willing to trade for a sharpstone chunk. I think I can trust you guys.

I would advise farming the hoplites in 1-2 they drop chunks like candy, i have always had more luck there for chunks and large shards

FYI for trophy whores... if your buddy gives you a weapon +5 or maxed out etc it will give you the trophy.

My one friend just gave me his moon +5 since I can't seem to get a pure and it worked.

So if anyone's actually been able to get a pure bladestone :eek:
