Rate the character build above you (SPOILERS)

Well, just post the character build you're gonna do to your character and rate the one above you (and critisize). Really I just wanted to see what other people felt about my build but hey, why not involve everyone.

My first character was male but he failed, so I worked on my second character who was female and I finally found out how I want to build her.

I'm still trying to balance the stats out (to get all requirements, etc) and basically I'm going to primarily level dex and magic. My weapons are gonna be the moon winged spear, moon ugatana (already got), sticky comp longbow and blind (damn, that bitch is hard to kill). Oh and I have a dragon knight sword +5 to accompany me until my other weapons out-run it (I love dragon weapons, shame they become useless later on).

Um, the armor I'm currently using is black leather (I started off as a wanderer, so I had to get the set from 3-1). I'm looking forward to getting dull-gold sooner or later.

My shield is the purple-flame shield.
^QUESTION: Is there a female-equivalent shield of the dark-silver shield?! (If not I'm just gonna resort to the rune shield or adjudicator's shield for mage def)

looks pretty good to me ill give ya a 9....i have a mage i just made....hasnt even been past the phalanx room yet except for farming a few shards

but he has a crecent falchion, adjudicator shield, and fragrant ring

i have no idea what armor to go for, idc as long as it looks cool right now he has the starting armor.......now that i know a sweet easy way to get all the moon chunks and shards i want im gonna have dual +5 crecent weaps to swap as i move and dont need my sheild

there is however an insanely easy way to get moonlightstone (shards, chunks, and pure) i cant say tho cuz spoilers ill pm u and tell u if u want tho

Because unlike crescent, moon, blessed, quality, tearing, etc etc you get the picture.... they do NOT scale with stats. They are as good at +5 as they will ever be. But your other weapons do scale with stats so even though they stop at +5 as you level they become stronger.

Also some enemies are just resistant to fire too.

I think that will ultimately depend on your build and play style.

What are you plannign on buffing?

NM reread first post duh... I'd say you can't go wrong with crescent. Dex'ing will get you some nice archer buffs to. compound longbow i'm thinking??

I use the white bow +3 now, it's nice but I was hoping for more. Lava bow is also looking very nice for magic / dex... but i'm not sure if it's nerfed by those with good flame protection.

KTA is 100% right. It is absolutely reliant on what kind of build you have. High magic? You want moon for best damage or if you rely more on actualy casting cresent for good damage + mana regen. High faith? You want blessed for high damage plus solid HP regen. Dex? Sticky bow, Tearing for good damage + bleeds or Quality weapons for top scaling, etc. Str? Crushing.

Bear in mind you need to build around the weapons you like the most if you play melee. For example you can't have a blessed uchigatana or a crescent knight sword.

There are other considerations too, like you cant use turpentine, white stuff, or weapon enchants on weapons that do fire or magic damage. Meaning on paper a physical only weapon is weaker but with weapon buffs can be adapted to any fight.

If you plan to stack strength crushing is the win. You also probably want to get the Meat Cleaver....

I think I'm generalizing too much. I'm basically trying to go for like a "Paladin" or "Eldritch Knight" type of build that is mainly melee but uses magic and miracles to supplement the attacks. So basically my stats right now are 14Vit/18Int/17End/22 Str/14Dex/12Mag/12Fai/10Luck.

I'm trying to bring up magic and faith somewhat equally but Str will always be my primary attribute with endurance secondary.

But looking at the weapons and how most of them are formed this looks like it would be hurtful to me.

I'm thinking I may start want to keep magic and Int kind of where they are and start stacking Str/Dex/Fai so that I can get good benefits from the meat cleaver. My only problem with that is that the Miracles in general look to be of questionable use in comparison to Magic. Most of them accomplish what an item would accomplish. Magic even has Warding

how do i get purple flame shield and that ring (forgot the name) when the dragons are there =(

I always kill the red dragon as soon as I get to 1-2 by shooting it with arrows. I usually farm 4-1 a bit with a short spear and shield to buy about 200 arrows. Then I get the compound short bow from the second tower. I head back to the first tower, set up position at the far right crenelation where the dragon basically heads right at you and just start shooting arrows at it one at each pass. About 20 minutes later you should have a dead dragon.

Killing the red dragon nets you everything except the ring of great strength which is guarded by blue dragon tail. If you aren't in PWWT (which makes both dragons disappear) then the only thing you can do is rush in, grab it quick, and then die.
