I can't get past 1-3?

There's a fog after the Tower Knight and it says that I have to have killed an Archdemon to proceed. What is an Archdemon and where can I find one?

An Archdemon is the final boss of one of the worlds. So you must go through and defeat at least one of the final demons of one of the other 4 worlds. Each world has 3 stages, so three bosses in each world.

Well, Astrea (in world 5) CAN be easy... Her bodyguard is another issue altogether. He wears full Dark Silver armor and carries Brand, a massive mace-type thingy. However, he is human, and thus bound by the normal rules (poison, plague, bleed, Scraping Spear, etc.). Astrea is merely a hinderance compared to him. It is worth noting that GETTING to them is more difficult that actually beating them.

I have no experience with Storm King.

The Old Monk is a special case. He actually summons another player as a Black Phantom for you to fight. He gets a boss-sized HP bar and has random Homing Soul Arrows firing every now and then, but otherwise it is a normal PvP fight. Also, if you ever want to have fun (and possibly win a unique piece of headgear) drop a blue or black eye stone (either will work) anywhere in world 3. The Monk will randomly pick a person to summon. Sucks when you're trying to party with a friend and the Monk keeps grabbing you first, though.

You can try BEING the one summoned. Just enter 3-1, drop a sign in one of the empty cells, and hope no one summons you. It's best to drop a Blue Eye stone, because it then tells you "You are entering their world as a Black Phantom". You also get a nice cutscene.

The only arch demon that is a real threat is the one in boletaria castle. The rest of them are fairly simple but tend to be very fun too. As long as you don't get in a hurry or get careless you should be ok on them. The exception is the monk, if you get a good pvp'er summoned on you well... it might turn into quite a nasty fight.

I lost 90,000+ souls to that guy. I refuse to return until the very end.. lol
I'm sad too. I had him down to probably 700HP or so.. then he used soul sucker on me.. and I didn't have the stamina to get away. The blue phantom with me still got his "S" score. He was very helpful. I guess I'll try and get to the monk. I'd like to be the black phantom after beating him myself too! :D

There is a "somewhat" easy method to beat him, you can still die easily if you mess up the timing or don't closely moniter your stamina though. I admit he got me with soulsucker once too.

Dragon God is indeed easy, if he doesn't happen to see you... Over all, Storm King was the easiest for me. The hut blocks off all incoming attacks, so it's not like there's any real threat there.

I guess I'm just lucky though. I beat the false king on my own after my blue phantoms got killed by the area attack. The Lava bow does wonders on him.
