So i have the strategy guide and have read it regarding the tower night. One problem.... health. By the time I run too the last tower kill the cross bow dudes then contend with the blue eyed knights I am nearly wiped out... before I even get through the fog. Aside from the obvious is there any hints to getting the tower Knight down?

Also I bought the Healing miracle and am not sure how to use it.

Thanks for the help fellow masochists.

To use the healing miracle you'll need to have the talisman out in one of your hands. As for getting to the Tower Knight... How are you running along the bridge? Shield up or rolling by the arrows?

You need to get the Talisman of God on level 4-1. Also, just get some more herbs and heal up before facing the Tower Knight. Get the crossbow guys on top first.

Good luck.

The blue eye knights are easy once you know their weakness. Tower Knight isn't so bad once you learn the trick to it. I'm not sure what to say for hint because you learn most of what needs to be done by dying a few times at their hand. Observation is the best hint I can give.

Another quick question.

When dealing with the Red Dragon in 1-2 and shooting him with arrows-do you see its life gauge when you land a shot?

You should see a brief bar of life, honestly I wouldn't bother with him until you can do some good dmg with a bow and have about 80 arrows and 30 minutes to spare.

Unless you can go into hyper mode.

Yeah if you have a decent bow like a short or long compound +3 or higher it should take about 100 arrows tops to kill the 1-2 drag on your first playthrough. You wont really ever get a good look at the hp bar though no....

Does that net you anything else besides souls?

Yeah... You get an actual Demon Soul (It was called the Small Flame Scale Soul in the Asian versions). Not used for anything in particular, so enjoy the extra 10,000 souls.

It nets a number of things actually. First off you get like 7k souls (first playthrough higher on subsequent runs) and the soul which is good for 10k. Second the dragon is dead so no more worrying about dodging the flames. Lastly... the dragon is dead so other places it would have been may be more.... open now.

I have a question about the red dragon that is before the tower guard. I killed the dragon and got the small flame scale, my question is should I hold on to it or use it for souls? I mean on the other 2 demon souls i have it says that they can be used for spells, armor and weapons instead of for souls, but the flame scale doesnt say that. So does anyone know if it has a use like the other souls or is it like the hero souls you pick up? Thank you and sorry to as this here, but I cant make my own thread yet.

Use bow and arrows on tower knight. Auto aim his head and hit him right before he uses his spear. Stay where archers were.

I didn't even think to use arrows. I figured you had to go after the feet. I guess because I saw a video on GT.com about defeating the dude by hitting his heels. Thanks for the advice.

I thought about arrows for the Tower Knight, but thoroughly enjoyed slashing his ankles, and the mace to the face ending was awesome. Now to take care of the red dragon, I'm thinking I must use arrows.

You totally do, and a lot of them at that. Maybe less if you have crazy Dex or something.

How hard was it to take out the Tower Knight with the slashes. I'm having a lot of trouble using swords and spears to take him down. I can get behind him, but I usually take way too much damage and get pushed away. I have to be fast getting the heals back up or I'm done for. I'm a soldier and I have found a bow, so I guess I'll just buy a load of arrows and see how it works. I gotta do something.

Yeah, just run behind him take a few slashes. Take a bunch of steps behind him to stay away from his backward jump, but still try to stay behind him. Just keep repeating this. If you start to get low on health, run up the stairs and get behind a pillar and heal up, then run back down and fight again. It will take a few tries, but you can do it.

Also when you get him to fall down, press triangle and just use both hands on your weapons while he is down, and get him as much as possible before he starts to stand up.

You can buy arrows from Boldwin at the Nexus.

i defeated him with help from friends summon friends lol 2 of them take the guards out then one guy usually has a spell like soul arrows from distant then you and the other guy hit his heal just move around alot and try to stay behind him. Again summon 2 players and you will have better luck

You won't be killing it with anything other than a bow, a crossbow will not suffice either needs to be the real deal. You can buy arrows off Boldwin like was suggested or if you have patches in the nexus you can buy his hard arrows.

It is PHYSICALLY POSSIBLY to melee the dragon. Just it's... very very difficult to stay alive. I wasn't able to accomplish it myself, and ended up just going for arrows after a while. The only reason I tried was because I saw it on the wiki, and knew it was something I had to do. But it was fun times while it lasted. ;)

But yeah, there's a Short Compound Bow at the top of the second guard tower, and you can buy arrows from Boldwin. I had read it takes about 200 arrows to do him in, but it only took about 80 for me, and I started as a Temple Knight. Not sure how that worked out.

You can see the lifebar of the dragon. You just need to stand on the first tower and click the right stick as it passes by. You will get a brief glimpse at the lifebar so you can see how much the dragon has left.

Personally, after farming the first part of 4-1 a bit I buy 300 arrows which is enough to kill both the dragon and the tower knight with the short compound bow.

I have a old toon I am not playing and I am about to delete him and he has vanguard soul, red dragon soul and the frist boss soul in 1-1. I used them i got 10k soul for the red dragon soul, vanguard gave 1.5k and the other gave 1560 souls. Kind of dissapointing to see the difference. lol. But I am so glad that the red dragon soul can be used to get souls instead of have to hold on to it. Is the Blue dragon the same way?
