Here is my question is there any conditions to summoning phantoms into your game? For example, you can only summon people within a certain level range. If you beat an area you can't summon people, but you can be summoned by others. Things like that. Thanks for the help in advance.

They need to be within ten levels of you, and you can't have beaten the level yet. I think that's it.

its a 10 level range for lower levels, and it increases to 25 level range when ur level 100 i believe, u can summon any phantoms to assist u as long as u havent defeated that world boss and when u lay out a soul sign ppl who havent beaten the boss in that world will see ur soul sign

Wow, that seems a bit early to change to a 25 level difference. I would think that there is a large discrepancy and imbalance between a level 100 and 125 character.

Correction, It begins with a +/-10 level range and exponentially rises towards +/- 25 at level 150 (not 100) after that it rises even more albeit slowly.

Also remember that the combat system is highly skill based; a level 50 character could easily destroy a level 100 character as long as he is skilled and has the right weapon...

That makes sense.

I have yet to get that ingrained into my approach on this game. After playing so many RPG's where character level is the end all, be all to how powerful you are, it is difficult to alter my thinking. I will get used to it soon enough I am sure.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but being new I can't start a new one and it appears this question has been answered, so....I have a quick noob question.

If you die and decide to return to the Nexus prior to retrieving your souls from your bloodstain, will the souls and bloodstain still be there when you return to the level where you died?

Yup. As long as you haven't died again your bloodstain will still be there.
I died on the 2-1 boss because I didn't realize it was a door to the boss.
Then I grinded a bit. Went back to the nexus, bought some arrows, and went back to the 2-1 boss. I assisted someone else, got by body back, then brought others to help me. When I beat him, I realized my bloodstain was still there from last time.

Even after you got your body back? Wow, so it will basically remain no matter what you do and only disappear if you die. Interesting.

They need to increase the level range. I have been trying to invade all day long and not a single invasion occurred. I wish I hadn't leveled up to level 209 because now I can't play PvP. Hurry and fix this, Atlus, I want to play the ####ing game I bought.

Or, you can all stop arguing and take a look see at this here thread. (http://www.atlus.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4659&highlight=facts)

Also, dunno if anyone else answered your questions but;

You can spawn people at any time as long as you're within their level range and their blue eye stone is on the ground. Same goes for being summoned.

I do not want to delevel my character. I want to rape lower levels with plague and poison cloud all day long. My hopes and dreams have all vanished. DAMN ATLUS!

No shame on me. I wouldn't mind a level 500 invading my game. I want to play PvP and I can't because of this design flaw. Hurry Atlus, fix your game. I shouldn't be forced to delevel my hard earned soul levels.

Actually it is your fault for leveling so high, you can't expect them to let you invade people massively lower level than you. There are even older threads on the forums by importers discussing why they never took characters past level 200 ;p.

Sure i can. Like I said, a level 500 invading my game is fine with me. I don't know why you don't believe this. If you did, you would stop your pointless argument. Also, I didn't know of this until I made it to level 200 and realized I can't invade anyones game.

That just straight up wouldn't be fair, even if YOU don't mind it. If this was an MMO, that would be different; go gank someone, they get their homies, you get your homies, gang war. Fun times. But, a simple 1v1, and even a 1v3, would be ridiculous and pointless if the level difference is so great. Just 1 swipe of your blade and everyone is out for the count. Yes, it would give you a big e-peen, but if simplistically killing someone with ease is your bag, there's plenty of other games to let you do that. ie: halo, css, etc.

I'm not trying to bag on you or something, but it's just really unfair in a type of game like this. This game is perfectly (well, for the most part at least) balanced, and a lvl 500 rapefest is something that this game does well without.

Besides, it takes no skill if you .00001 shot everyone. And this game praises skill...

That was what worried me about being invaded, I didn't know there was a rule regarding invasion levels, so my first time I got invaded I quit the game thinking it was some jackhole at lvl300+ coming to slaughter my lvl25 self.

Turns out with the rules in place the most that person coulda been was 35, which isn't to scary.

Just remake a new char and play around level 125+

It ain't hard, and you get to rape less experience players.

Beside that's the range where build and control skill matters.

You have to include your soul level if you want help from people... that way they know if they can group with you

How do i summon phantoms to help me...im on the 2-1 spider boss...and i cant figure out how to summon people to help me...at the moment im soul level 24.

Bacon Deity

You can only summon people if you're in body form. If you're in body form, you can look around and see Blue messages on the floor. Those are other people waiting to be spawned.

But if you're dead, you cannot spawn, instead you can use the item "blue eye stone" and set it down and wait for someone to summon you.

i usually don't see any players around 2-1 boss, i dunno if you'll get any help...

Tips:

I shouldn't be saying this, but I don't know how to hide spoilers.

If you're melee, just run up to him avoiding the fireballs and web shots, and stay DIRECTLY infront of him. When he crosses his arms, block his upcoming attack. When he starts to seizure, and raise his arms, stay right infront of his mouth and you'll avoid getting crushed. at this point, you can slice him up a few times. You can do this multiple times. Then when he moves back a little and starts gathering flames in his mouth, run all the way back to the start of the room, and you'll avoid his firebreath attack thing. After that ends, just repeat the process until 1 dead bug is achieved.
