Which do you prefer? And which investment do you think is better?

I just got my Lava Bow, and found out that I could have gotten either Fire Spray or Ignite.

At first I found magic very strong and I have firestorm but I havent played with it too much... However... In general I find you can do more damage much faster in melee and you are going to be required to have your melee skills on if you want to have a chance against most BP's or certain "encounters" for that matter.

You'll likely be trying those two out in your other playthroughs, but IMO you made the right choice.

I hate ignite, can't find a use for it ever, and firespray is neat but I found myself always using soul light or flamethrower instead.

On the other hand, the lava bow in the first playthrough is without a doubt the best bow you can get.

I have the Hard Demon soul and I don't know how to get Ed to accept it to make something, any clue?

weapons have to +7 before you can use the soul to upgrade it.

I have the Hard Demon soul and I don't know how to get Ed to accept it to make something, any clue?

Did you beat 2-2 boss yet? you need to give him that soul first before he'll even consider making any items...

1. I have the demon hard stone but I can't get the option to upgrade to the lava bow do I need just a regular bow or a bow thats been upgraded already ? (I also already gave the red hot demon soul to blacksmith Ed already)

2 I have the lead demon soul but I also can't get the option to upgrade to scraping spear from blacksmith ed do i need just a normal spear or an upgrade spear?

For lava bow, take a short bow and upgrade it to +7. It's the cheapest to upgrade, but still will take a lot of shards

for the scraping spear, you need to either upgrade a regular spear or winged spear to +7. I believe regular spear is cheaper, but I've only managed to find winged spears.

You can buy a short spear off the dregling merchant for like 2k souls if you need one.
