Whats up guys,
So i started as a thief and so far I have been enjoying it a lot but i have a couple of questions.
One, considering I have higher luck than most classes I always end up with a lot of drops. I was wondering, now that I am level 30, should i start increasing Luck? Or just leave it at 15. And no, i really don't want to use the blueblood sword (not yet at least.)
Also, I've been using the Scimitar and the compound short bow (I'm waiting to upgrade to other weapons soon.) I got the baby's nail and the secret dagger and i was wondering if i should bother to really upgrade any of those. Maybe as an offhand, although I still use the buckler sometimes.
Thanks!

couldnt hurt to increase your luck if you are destroying everything np, but i have 15 on my main and i have so many grasses i have to store them in the bank
as far as weapons go i suggest trying a spear and see if it fits your taste....once you get the hang of them they are godly, and the specialed once are VERY sweet and cool looking....looks like great for pvp also
i like the penetrator sword but i dont think you can upgrade it :(, im on the lookout of a katana myself :)

I agree the Spear is almost too good but I already have a Templar knight to actually use those spears. I am looking at the Flachion probably, but i don't know to 2Hand it or what. Eh, I'm more worried about whether i should level up Luck or not.

Up grading your luck increases the quality and frequnecy of the goods that are dropped. usually you'll get one item and as it increases you'll get more.

Go to the Leaderboards in DS and check stats on those players to see how they leveled up.

Yeah i know but I want to ask how much luck would be considering pushing it. I don't want to pump too much on it so early on.

I DO wish someone had empirical data on whether a higher Luck score in any way decreases your rare drops. The conventional wisdom from the import players that 8 luck seems to be the way to stay (and I think the guide mentions that as well?) really seems to make Luck a dump stat unless you're looking to use the one weapon that favors it. And yet, I'm considering raising it just to get some spiderstone drops more regularly. Jeebus that stuff's hard to farm on 2-1/2-2.

From everything I have seen, it's not that it decreases the rare drops, it's the ratio that decreases. Luck means a higher drop rate, not more rare drops - So obviously, the ratio will go down so it appears that the rare drop occurence has dropped.

I have heard that even with maxed out luck some of the rare drops wont be any easier to get. Might be wrong though.

Not easier I don't mind. It's -harder- that makes me hesitate...

If you're not interested in the blueblood sword, I wouldn't give a flying f. about luck - granted, the luck stat really DOES increase item drop rate by a fair amount but wasting something like say 15 S.lvls just to farm a few stones more conveniently... IMO it's a waste.
Also. keep in mind that there's a sword which raises the item drop rate, you don't even have to kill enemies with it, works if you just hold it with your left hand.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I was thinking of upgrading my Scimitar for said sword later on. Alright so I'm not going to worry about Luck then. Going to keep on pumping dexterity and endurance then.
