View Full Version : A way to 'trade in' items?

Is there a way to trade in items for souls? I have all these shields and what not, and I have no idea what to do with them besides drop them... Any suggestions?

pretty sure thats all you can do....or if its not complete garbage you could wait for a noob to ask for your help and drop it for them

There's an area in the game that lets you trade certain items for others but it's very limited to specific items.

Otherwise, there is no way to sell off equipment in this game. You either store it, trade it (aforementioned method or with players) or drop it.

Gah, that sucks.. Oh well, just means I'll be dropping tons of stuff... If I drop something in the nexus while online, can other people pick it up? Or does it have to be in another players world?

I read somewhere that recommended not dropping items. Keep spares of items in the need you want to upgrade that item a different way than you did the first time. Otherwise, you are forced to find rare meltstone ore to downgrade your item.

I will keep certain items, but I don't think I need to keep any slaves shields or broken swords hehe.

oh yeah, agreed there.

However, I did keep one of each as I do not know if there will ever be a certain special weapon that requires one of those items for an upgrade path. Probably not though. But since the depository is large, I held one each anyway.

FYI, just found out that there is a use for the broken sword but I will not list it here as to the (NO SPOILERS!) request.

It won't always let me drop items in my world or other players world, why not?

I just deposit all of my items. You never know when you may need them.

If you have an item equipped it will not let you drop it...

yup, equiped items are displayed with a green E.

Trading is simply AK. You join another players game either by summoning them, being summoned by them, or invading. Once there you just "drop" an item and the other person can loot it.

so it's not really "trading" then :S it's more like, giving out your unused stuff lol..
so there is no way you can trade trade?? kinda like d2 style kind of trade?

what i think would be really cool ina future game if and when we get it

not so much turning our weapons in....but a store where we can place our items in (the souls from sales would stay there until you came by and collected them) and we can go there and see other players armor there and how they made their guy and challenge them on the spot or party up to go play

but once we get into the game and have souls i would like to be able just to be lazy and go buy the weapons and items i want and i think that would add a lot to the game

i have soooo much garbage or even cool weapons that ill never use just sitting in my storage.....some i even got upgraded
