Black Phantom Question

Up until the NA release, I'd always heard that you could have up to two blue phantoms summoned and three black phantoms invading for a total of six players in a single "world" at a time. The case for the NA version, however, says 1-4 players online. Assuming this is the two summoned phantoms, yourself, and one invading. Is this just a typo, or are multiple black phantoms no longer allowed in a single game?

???? Lol. Where did you hear that 3 phantoms could invade your game at the same time? That would be overkill!

Nah, only one black phantom can invade at a time...

...although, there is a glitch which allows for 2 BPs but that one is almost impossible to reproduce on will...

I believe it was some import review or another a while back... or could just as easily have been an uninformed poster on some forum. Figured the idea was to have the possibility of 3 v. 3 with your summoned pals versus all the unwanted baddies, and while that would definitely lead to some overkill situations, I chalked that up to the game's infamous unforgiving side.

A single invader at a time is definitely more appealing, though. Wouldn't have been much point to cooperating with fellow invaders if only the person that landed the killing blow got their body back, and if all invaders got their bodies back, you'd have lazy phantoms trying to bum a revive off someone else's skill.

and where do i get those stones????

ive had that happen on the import version before another black phantom broke into a world i was invading he tried killing the host before me but i ended up killing both of them lol

The blue/black/white stones are not one time use. You can use them as many times as you want. You get the white/blue one after you beat 1-1 and talk to the monumental. You get the black one after 2-1 i think, but im pretty sure its after 2-1.

The Blackeye stone will be dropped by the very first "Generic NPC BP" you defeat, doesn't matter which one it is. Some people go first in 2-2 and get it there, other do 3-1 first and get it there...

"Generic NPC BP" are Black phantom versions of nameless generic human NPCs; there's one for almost every class. For example the female one in 3-1 is a thief while the two guys in 2-2 are barbarians and the guy in 4-2 is a wanderer.

You sure you don't have it already? I never tested it myself but I would think that they count too... What route did you take? I find it a bit strange that you've done 1-3 already and haven't come across other NPC BPs...

its possible if he takes the quick way to archdemons then yea he could avoid all of them, and they already drop rare items thats probly y they dont drop any blackeye stones

About the route: IMHO it's very anti-climatic if you take on 1-4's boss too soon... In a way, he is the last boss...
