My first phantom battle

I was romping through 1-2 and noticed blue symbols on the ground and decided to give them a whirl. Little did I know that this whirl would mean me helping a guy get his body back and kill the 1-2 boss.

Normally when I reach the end of that stretch of hallway, I either wreck the two blue knights or get rocked by them. Not this time! The phantom, ConsoleSurvivor I believe his name was helped me quite a bit. I kept wanting to thank him but apparently the text chatting is lacking and was too hard for me to find so I gave up.

We then walked through the fog and proceeded to gnaw at the heels of a specific demon until he fell to the ground, future victim of my authoritah.

The point of this little story is to say that Blue Phantoms are awesome, and to gripe about the fact that there is no voice chat. Something that should be included in a game of this caliber. I was just happy that Console Survivor and I were able to take queues from each other and coordinate against the boss.

i usually hunt with a group of buddies, we use skype to talk as we play :D

My first, and only, phantom group was last night, 2-1. He was noticeably stronger than I was, but we both ended up getting beat down when we backed into a hallway together and got 'stuck.'

My phantom just killed me. We were doing 4-1. Started with two phantom allies, but one got himself killed to the miniboss. Well, the other and I got farther, killed the red eye skeleton, and around a corner, filled with warnings, and a blood stain, there was a switch on the floor. I was cautious, trying to think of a way to avoid the switch....he ran across it. I had three huge arrows in my back before I could move. Yet instead of being angry, I could only laugh my ass off. XD

Ah well, I got a fancy shield I'll never use, and a Kilij, which has an awesome R2 attack combo. It looks so cool. No Uchigatana though, which is what I really wanted.

I would laugh uncontrollably if I got those arrows in my back too.

Lol I'm sure you will hit yourself if I tell you that the Uchigatana was about 5 foot away from where you picked up the Kilij...

had to get passed the vanguard 1st :p then the uchigatana would have been in plain sight lol

I don't know why, but I'm pretty stubborn about getting help from someone else lol. For 1-2 boss, I just may have to do that.

I swear I looked all over that area thinking it'd be there and didn't find it...Guess I'll go back, I know what I need to do and the mini-boss is easy enough.


Edit: Found it. =D Not only that, a Red eyed skeleton dropped a second one for me, haha! Plus, I found my blood stain, so more souls! That was a worthwhile run, haha.

I just fought a giant spider with help too, I both times have not be the one to die but instead have had other dead people join me.

TK isn't too bad alone. But, without spoiling anything, I assure you that you will co-op to kill the 3-2 boss.

Well I managed to take him down to just over half his HP, than I got hit by the shield and died.

Well, as a Blue Phantom I helped a guy to beat the Tower Knight in 1-2. Later on, I got some Phantom help to defeat the Tower Knight myself, but both of my helpers stupidly tried to keep attacking the fallen Knight as he stood up, and the both got wasted. So I beat him myself and gave them both a B rating.

I got invaded by a Black Phantom today at the very start of 2-3. He was trying to find me, but I surprised him with my Wanderer and +5 Falchion. In close quarters I just rolled past his attacks and combo'd him so hard that he panicked and was dead in no time.

Are there specific criteria one must have to be invaded by a black phantom? I want to be invaded, let them try to take me.

Well, I think it depends on level, and where you are. It just happens.
