Hi, I had imported the asian version of the game over the summer and enjoyed it a lot. The question I have is what additional features does the NA version have that the asian version didn't? I'm trying to decide whether to buy the NA version if I had already played the imported version.

The asian version had full voice acting in english and such, is the NA version voice acting different? Also, I know there is an art book and soundtrack, but are there any actual gameplay changes or additions?

No, there isn't any gameplay changes. Except its on NA servers.

The server change alone should be reason enough to buy it. Plus, you're supporting a company willing to put the game into the US market.

Really, your best bet is Amazon. Although I don't know if they got any left in stock. Walmart doesn't carry the DE, only the SE. Not even sure if Target carries the game at all.

There's nothing different at all? I thought Atlas said they'd improve voice work, stuff like that.

They didn't change the voice work however they did update a ton of descriptions, names, flavor text, and messages for the online component.

For example in the NA version you don't "evaluate" messages you "recommend" them.

OK, this is supposed to be a spoiler-free board, so I'll be careful.
Any door that is locked can be opened by a key found on the same level or by altering your World Tendency. 3-1 has many locked doors that you will have to find the keys for. 1-1, 3-1, 2-3 both have areas that open with WT. You just have to forge ahead and try.

There are no ARMORsmiths. However, there are 2 weaponsmiths. One is in the Nexus. The other is in world 2 somewhere. Have fun finding him!

Also, try not to run your sentences together. It makes it difficult to respond correctly sometimes.

the gold knight that you save on the first map friend's say he give's you or drop's a key called Mausoleum key i did not get it or see him drop it so what do i do get that key cuz i don't see the gold knight any more....????

Did you talk to him after the save? That key gives you access to the Small King if I remember right, on the other side of a really frick'in mean red eyed knight I can't seem to get past...

How much will it affect the gameplay if i dont have that good of an internet connection? (for example: i have 2 yellow bars when playing CodWaw. but when playing with local Calinfornan gamers..i get 3 or 4 bars) I love cooperative online games and i just hope that the game can still preform well even if i have a bad connection to other players or the host. I would really like to know before i give the store 60+ dollars.

1: There are alot of battles that seem to suffer from lag anyway. So I wouldn't worry too much about connectivity.

2: No idea I haven't checked but I seriously doubt it is 9 gig.

i know i should probably open a new thread to ask... but i can't atm.. i was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me what i have to do to get skills with new weapons.. i have a bow and a few polearm weapons i would like to use but i can't kill anything with them due to my ability to actually use them... i play a priest, i don't know if there are weapon/class restrictions but if you could give me an explanation that would be nice ;>

Well, the only changes I know of for a fact are some name changes of items. Like the "Keel Smasher" for example is something like "Dragon Bone Smasher" or the "Gripless" katana is the "Hiltless" katana in NA.

Uh nothing? All you need is the required stats and you can use the item to it's full power. There are no class restrictions, anyone can use any weapon.

For example to use a Longsword you need strength 10. Don't have strength 10 you can still use it but it wont hit for squat if you hold it one handed.

Yeah, in addition to what Karkarov said, just to remind you, if you didn't know...

When you get souls, go to the Maiden in Black and talk to her. She will then let you upgrade or level up each stat. Make sure you figure out what stats you need to level up for what weapon.

You can only level up after world 1-1.

you have to be in body form to summon people....if you are in soul form you wont even see their blue markers....you just hit X on them and summon the people to your game.....they cant be more than 10 levels above or below you tho

A... Dragon? And if it's the red one then you're in 1-2. Like Ice Pick said. Walk around and when you see blue messages on the floor, go up to them, press X, agree to summon them and they'll be with you in a minute.

And if you're a new player, you should go kill the dragon later, it's a bit difficult.

Hey guys i was looking on the net how to upgrade my weapons more then +5
and armor and stuff and i just read something that :O me
i was using all the demon soul that i got from bosses till now because i heard that u need them for crafting ( yes i was using it for a boost of soul :O )
my problem is i used the red demon soul that you get from the flame lurker in 2-2 and i heard that ed need it to trigger the high lvl upgrade unlock can you help meee

Yeah I used those souls the first time I played as well, and to be honest the quickest fix I used for that is: I started over xD.

I was 49 when I started off, I mean you technically could keep playing through until you get newgame+ then just play through it again to get the souls again. Though I started over to get some things that would help in NG+. It's really up to you. :p
