Alright since I haven’t been posting here lately, I decided to do something special. I am giving updates on three different threads. I could've just done it in one, but I'm offering something new in each one so that many could see.
For this one I have info and screenshots on the new game as well as first ever gameplay here. (http://www.famitsu.com/game/coming/1228227_1407.html)

CJ, the only way for Namco Bandai:
--to allow Namco x Capcom U.S. release is if it charges another company OVER 9000* times the amount of the original licensing price.
--to bring over a Super Robot Wars title by themselves is when and only when it features Dragon Ball characters.
*CJ, you should know by now Namco Bandai Games America's top two priorities are 3D and DB(Z).
Oh, going back on topic, I hope that it has something to do with W-01 to W-05, along with W-08 to the ones not mentioned in the main SRW timeline (besides Haken Browning and Aschenbroedel).

Remember, though, Namco Bandai owns them, not Monolith Soft; had the latter been the case, then, they'd be Nintendo property by now.
Also, based on one of the screenshots and info given by Tatsuya Suou... I'm under the impression this is a prequel to Endless Frontier, seeing how the 2nd screenshot reminds me of pre-Einst Formido Heim.

Well, looks like I'm here to answer you’re questions on who will be coming back in EF2. The answer is everyone! That’s right; Haken and the gang are back for more in Exceed. So with this I can say it’s not a prequel like Yet Another Tim said, and to be honest I knew sometime that Haken would be in it as shown here. (http://img97.imageshack.us/img97/4215/1255425927204.png) This was shown not to long after the first pictures were out. And it looks like Kos-Mos returns in this, we may see more in the next update.

About that, the new changes are as follows, courtesy of /m/.
-now you can switch party members between front row and back row in the battle.
-cut in animations are said to be have improved
-player can now use FORCED EVASION by using the frontier gauge.
So yeah, you can now use Force Evasion, still wish there was a way to break Force Evasion from your opponents.

Now the next I hope to come would be these three, with a belated Happy Halloween (http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/8792/6469167.gif) to Atlus.
And for those who want to import it first, check over at the Official Site. (http://www.suparobo.jp/srw_lineup/srw_mugenexceed/index.html) Looks like we are getting a Limited Edition that has an artbook and two CDs, a shot of it is here. (http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/7541/1258069544404.jpg)

As far as if this should have a dub, I'm not sure; It could work but I got used to the Japanese audio and I don't want to lose them. For Robot fans out there, Haken was voiced by GaoGaiGar's Guy Shishioh and the New Hero Aledi is voiced by G Gundam's Domon Kasshu. If it gets dubbed then I would like them to be done right but not at the cost of the possible limited edition. And I would like dual audio but if anything it will most likely be the same. More to come soon.

You do realize that the limited edition package in Japan is being sold for the equivalent of $90, right? And, yes, while in Japan game prices are high (mostly because people are willing to pay that much for them), nobody pays that much for a DS game in the US. Nobody.
Sseklebeast

In regards to the voice acting in the first game - I saw this quote in a post on the OG Saga 1 board in regards to the voice acting. It's from an interview on Siliconera with Aram and Sammy Matushima, Project Lead.
What happened with the voice acting?
SM: We kept the original Japanese voice acting intact. No English voices were recorded for the game, mostly for technical reasons. Originally, we did look into replacing the voices into English, but the voice system was so complex that we had to give up on that idea. We’re sorry we couldn’t provide a dub, but the original Japanese cast did such an awesome job that it was a no-brainer to leave the Japanese voices in.
So if we happen to get Exceed here in NA it may have the original Japanese dub like the first game. Heh if we get it here I don't really care what language they speak, I'll be happy either way. :D Posting this because I read a few posts relating to the voice acting.

I will take a guess on US$40-50... in America! I am basing this on the respective U.S. releases of Marvelous Entertainment's Luminous Arc 2 (localized by Atlus USA) and Capcom's Star Force 3 Limited Edition.
Oh, going back on topic, any word about the final boss?

Depends on whats given. Its really not fair to say nobody. Ive paid 400 bucks for a psp, 500 for a transformer. If it was a really awesome game that came with some really awesome extras, yea Id pay 90 bucks for a ds game.

This game rocks way better than the first. I think the title is long though. It has 2 new characters and all of the original characters from the 1st game even though some are cross overs. ATLUS needs to get thi game into the United States and should try to get the limited edition packages that they are gonna get over in japan. That would be sweet. I would buy 4 copies of the game just as back up in case if one breaks.

Now I liked to say something about the LE, and its cost. I have yet to find a confirmation on the price, so I have no idea if it will even be $90 or more. And as you can see, some will pay for it if it has everything in it like they do with most atlus spoils.
I know that you would most likely bring this to the US, but the question is, how the spoils will be handled. Don't get me wrong, I liked that we got a soundtrack to the first EF, but it was only a small 10 chosen songs, unlike Persona, in which had the whole OST. And that game and OST is awesome by the way. All I'm saying is that I hope that we see improved spoils for this next game, and I'll let you decide if it this should be dubbed or not.
Well, stay tuned because there’s more to come in Endless Frontier.

THESE TEARS OF MINE BURST FORTH LIKE A RIVER! THEIR LOUD ROAR ASSURES ME THAT PRE-ORDERING THE GAME WAS CORRECT!
So Axel and Alfimi are now time divers, Arkgain is back as his robot sidekick and he's recruitable after you show him your moves. Isn't it a little early for Christmas? Adding this to the news that Nana Mizuki is singing the theme song and my holidays are as merry as can be. EF1's theme was utterly horrible, and they continue to outdo the first game in every possible. The inclusion of actual OG characters is just icing on the cake. Icing of such epic propotions that it overshadows the cake itself. They better not include any Trombe in this game, otherwise the DS won't be able to contain its level of epic win.
It's a good thing that Atlus is almost definitely going to translate this. Unless they were just teasing us with EF1 and enjoy the taste of our tears. As for the bonuses, we probably won't see the booklet (which is in japanese) or the drama cd (which is in japanese). They'd be fools not to bring over the complete soundtrack like they did with the dramaless tracks that were on the cd that came with EF1 in Japan.
I'd say $60 is the max price for an english release of EF2 coupled with the OST. $100 nets you both with the booklet and drama cd, and one can only assume that having a famous cast of seiyuu doing a drama cd does a lot to inflate the price. Without it, there shouldn't be any reason for such an excessive price anywhere near that amount.
And now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go shed MANLY TEARS OF JOY. There's no better news than the fact that the hotblooded lolicon martial artist antihero who defeated Boss-class Einst-powered Gentleman Beowulf is now a playable character outside of his mech where he can show just how superior he is to almost all of the character in the normal OGverse. As if a level 50 Axel KOing my level 99 Lamia didn't already prove that he's the same invincible badass from A that could singlehandedly tackle a multitude of enemies on his own.

I don't really know much about Alfimi. Can you tell me a little about her?

The Einst are an alien race that tried to destroy and remake the world. Before Kyosuke and Excellen met, they were in a shuttle crash that killed everyone but the two of them. Excellen was half dead so the Einst took her and gave her magical Einst cells so that she'd live. She became 80% Einst and they got their hands on her DNA. The Einst used it to create Einst Alfimi, a humanoid clone of Excellen that was 100% Einst. She harbored the same feelings for Kyosuke and went to Earth to meet him. She eventually began talking, but Kyosuke wouldn't go with her to become the next Adam and Eve. Along the way she created the Einst Eisen to remind her of him. She then captured and brainwashed Excellen, also turning Weissritter into Rein Weissritter. Kyosuke succeeds in freeing her and the two defeat Alfimi. After her defeat they convince her to join the good guys. This alliance is short lived, as Alfimi perishes along with all of the other Einst. Except Excellen. Because she has a character shield.
~ WARNING: UNRELEASED OGG STORY THAT ATLUS NEEDS TO TRANSLATE BEFORE RELEASING EXCEED ~
Axel Almer got his ass kicked and his mech destroyed in battle. The Cry Wolves went and retrieved the remains of the Shadow Mirror mechs. The facility is absorbed by the Einst while they escape, but they drop Soulgain's cockpit block and it floats off with an unconscious Axel inside. In his hour of need, he stumbles across the soul of a blue haired loli. Axel and Alfimi are both on death's doorstep, so Alfimi's soul takes refuge in Axel's body. When the Cry Wolves find him again he's in his birthday suit with his clothes folded neatly next to him. To summarize - Axel got some skinship with the loli that Kyosuke rejected and he lived to fight another day. It was a good day to be a badass antihero.
HOWEVER! Axel was out cold and being nursed back to health for 6 months. During this time his Soulgain is rebuilt. Eric Wong must've had an eye for recruitable enemy pilots. The commotion of the Jetzt Regisseur breaking out of its prison and knocking the Cry Wolves around woke him up, and he immediately went to beat the crap out of the enemy with his Rocket Soul Punch. Axel deploys in his Soulgain and Alfimi materializes behind him. They talk and Tiz shows up. Together with the Cry Wolves, the duo fights off Tiz and the Jetzt. Axel and Alfimi then wander off to chase the Jetzt and finish off the Einst once and for all. Except for herself and Excellen. Because they're cute girls that cater to the fanbase.
After that they help out here and there fighting the bad guys and bosses until Earth is once again safe for a few months at most, until the next big bad guy appears to raise some hell. When all is said and done, Axel hangs up his obsession with Beowulf and his distaste for dolls. He and Alfimi leave to wander the universe as they try to find their own "heaven." One can only assume it's a place where he and Alfimi can go at it without people labeling him a lolicon. Excellen comments about how they look like the new Adam and Eve.
And so Axel moves on from Lemon...by hooking up with another Excellen clone. Now he's a true Anti-Kyosuke in every way, including his newly discovered preference for young girls as opposed to Kyosuke's love of busty bombshells. And of course, Alfimi willingly accompanies him everywhere he goes. But that's because her soul is in his body. Unless she left when she materizlized. I have no idea because Atlus hasn't released OGG yet.
ANYWAY! Axel wants to check out how Lemon's Operation Endless Frontier went. Alfimi tags along.
~ END OF OGG ~
The two end up finding the Endles Frontier. They're hurled into a new world, separated from their mechs, banged on the head and robbed of their memories. Alfimi starts using a long katana along with her Einst powers and Axel starts using blade tonfas. And then...their story continues in EXCEED.
"I don't really know much about Alfimi. Can you tell me a little about her? "
She's a doll in the shape of a blue hiared little girl who gained her own free will. And she likes older men. After dying, she gives herself to Axel in order to save both their lives. Then she becomes his sidekick and love interest. The most important thing to know about Alfimi is that she's moe and her boyfriend will kick your ass with hardcore taijutsu skills.

Real men preorder the japanese version for the bonuses that probably aren't going to be brought over. And just in case Atlus pulls an OGs/OGG on us. Meaning that they don't localize an awesome game that continues the story of the games they already brought over. It could happen. Because it already did :(

Nothing. You, by yourself, aren't going to do anything. And being an annoying jackass isn't going to make anyone go to "your side". The best thing to do is to go tell people who don't know about SRT about SRT to create word of mouth popularity and make it more likely that there's "enough interest" for a sequel to come over. And before you start on this one: this is not an invitation to go spam other boards with SRT topics, because that's just as annoying and will make you no friends.
Being annoying and badgering everybody is just going to make everybody angry with you, and therefore less likely to listen to you. This is not a difficult concept. Despite your previous "efforts" not having any effect, I can tell you right now they probably had more of an effect then the #### you're pulling now.

I have a message to this Elysion Zero. While I support your enthusiasm, you are overdoing it going so far as taking blows to the very company who brought the games to begin with. It’s nice to have faith in the impossible, but enough is enough. No point in asking for a localization of a PS2 game. If you do care for SRT then stop with this nonsense that you have been doing as of late. Don't bother replying to this because that’s all I have to say on the matter. As for everyone else, just give support to this game, even though I know atlus will work on this.
As I said before, I do hope for better spoils this time around. I’ll have more updates as they are available; see you and happy holiday’s atlus.

Take Shishio Gai, make him more like a street punk, throw him in Gravion and give him a little sister who pilots a jet that combines with his mech to unlock its true potential by giving it better attacks and stats. That's Fighter Roar.
It all began long long ago in the 90s when Banpresto brought SD characters from Gundam, Ultraman and Kamen Rider together for the NES (once) and then the SNES (5 times) in the Great Battle series of games. Warrior Roar was Cybuster's cousin when it comes to the Banpresto family tree. Where as Masaki and Cybuster fought off the forces of evil in strategy games, Roar took it upon himself to personally punch evil out IN THE FACE. Together with an SD character from each of the three awesome series mentioned, Roar traveled through the worlds/dimensions fighting evil ACTION PLATFORMER style.
By the time Great Battle 4 came around, Roar partnered up with V2 Gundam, Kamen Rider ZO and...some Ultraman. I never got into Ultraman and I'm too lazy to look it up. It's not that important, anyway. Moving on! Roar and his comrades fought against the forces of "X" as he tried to take over the world. To help them in their quest, Roar and his three pals each piloted a vaguely jet shaped piece of a giant robot. When they combined the pieces for a giant robot fight the four formed Compatible Kaiser. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IeFhI_MlYu8) It had grenade launchers, vulcans, a beam attack, punches and a couple energy shields. It wasn't anywhere near the 1337sauce mecha that it is today. Still, it held up through all the fighting and they kicked ass until they made it to the evil Emperor. Roar confronted him and X arrived. The emperor told X to shoot Roar, but X shot the Emperor instead. It turns out that X was Cross, Roar's (and I assume Emi's) father. The emperor tried to deal with Roar himself but his plan was foiled by X diving in front of Roar and taking the blast for him. He disappeared and IT WAS ON! Roar proceeded to blast away at the emperor with his pathetic pistol until he decided to unleash the EXPLOSION OF HIS BURNING PASSION and wipe the emperor out once and for all. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CY5VBcDa-c) A lot of good that does roar and his party, because the emperor pulls a tokusatsu trick and turns into a metal giant. KAISER GO! The four form Compatible Kaiser and proceed to beat that metal shell off of the Emperor. It comes off, only to reveal...ANOTHER ONE! Kaiser beats that one up until its destroyed, revealing the true form of the Emperor: An evil brain with a fanged mouth. DARK BRAIN! He was the villain since the first game, and he was back again to make Roar run around like a hero for the fourth time. Roar wasn't about to let him get his way, so before he could regerate his metal shell Kaiser launched a Kaiser Beam and fried Dark Brain. But that wasn't the end of it. Dark Brain launched a missile at the Earth! Compatible Kaiser sacrificed itself to blow the thing up as a sorrowful Roar shed MANLY TEARS as he and his comrades flew through space back to Earth. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHxslvFY0Gg)
WELCOME TO THE WILD WEST! Roar resurfaces in Great Battle 5 along with God Gundam, another Rider and another Ultraman. They fight through the game until they get to the final bosses. Roar and the gang dispatch with them and live on to fight another day.
Somehow or another an event causes Warrior Roar to be flung across space and maybe time to the OGverse. He's stranded in a new world and everything sucks for him until the grandson of ol' Professor Azuma (who's otherdimensional self was present in Great Battle) appears. With Roar's robot and body destroyed, he has Kouta become his successor as FIGHTER Roar. Professor Azuma hauls the junky Pachinko Kaiser back to his laboratory of SUPER ROBOT BUILDING! There, he uses the blueprints for the Dynamic General Guardians to rebuild it into something far better than the original. Kouta joins the war on EVIL only to find out that his sister got herself kidnapped by Folka. I've heard she's also love love with him. Women. So Shouko gets brainwashed and given the Emi armor so she can pilot Great Thundergate. For some reason Dark Brain has a jet that combines with the NEWLY rebuilt Compachi Kaiser. Coincidence! Kouta manages to eventually smack some sense into his sister by repeatedly attacking her with his own mecha combat machine until she remembers herself and becomes one with her brother. And with a bom chika wah wah Great Compatible Kaiser is born. It has shoulder cannons and jet thrusters to complement its mighty manly Gravion sword. The two beat back the Shura, Dark Brain and Shuu. Game over. Everyone lives happily ever after until OG3. OR DO THEY?
Roar being in EF2 raises some questions, the first of which is "Why didn't we see this coming?" Compatible Kaiser's parts were littered around the second ship in the first world. OLD COMPATIBLE KAISER'S PARTS! Which brings up the second question: "Did Warrior Roar get thrown into the EF before arriving in the main OGverse?" If old Kaiser's parts are there along with Roar, then there should be a good chance that along with Axel's sequel this functions as Roar's prequel, where it explains the circumstances for him actually being sent into the OGverse in the first place. Which would make Axel's future his past in the future.
...
Banpresto must be dividing by zero if that's the case. If not, then somehow Fighter Roar got himself thrust into another dimension without Kaiser and probably Emi. But it's all good, since Roar's had the brawler's blood in him since Great Battle 1.
So basically Roar's not so much a Superhero as he is "another hero" among the many that fought together against evil in his world. It's just that in OGs the evil consisted almost completely of giant robots with the exception of the Shadow Mirror's robot army. He seemed exceptional because, like Axel and the Shura, he could actually hold his own against ground based smaller scale enemies. In the EF he's right at home with Axel and Aledy. It's just a shame that from the looks of it he's only a mecha support character. Roar has so much more potential than that and EF2 still needs its fourth "new" character.
Note: Much of Roar's history is probably wrong. There are no localizations of Great Battle 4, OGs or OGG so I've had to go by what I've seen and read.

You see this, Atlus? This is why localizing the entire series is important. The series is meant to be played as a whole otherwise people won't know who the heck these "new" characters are.
No, the series was MEANT to be played by people who had played all the previous SRT games that contained copyrighted material, ie: where the OG characters originally came from. It's a fangame made of original characters from fangames, a fangame of a fangame. So even if we GOT all the games in the OG series, we'd still be missing roughly half of the information relevant to the characters. Like Masaki and Shu? That storyline doesn't even make SENSE in the OG verse if you didn't play the games he came from in the standard series.
Just...stop. Your attempts at rationlizing this are getting so ridiculous, it's actually physically painful to watch. Just stop. For the sake of the people who actually like these games.

That's a stretch. All of that stuff from the other games, save Great Battle and Masoukishin, never really happened in the OGverse or it was already covered in some way. You don't need to know all those alternate world scenarios in the other games to understand the story of OG if you play through all of the games in english. Masaki's is the only story that actually does play out in another game: Masoukishin. IIRC, aside from whatever Winkysoft stuff that went on with it, it was a game full of originals like the OG series. There weren't any Gundams (Duraxyll doesn't count") or Getters. But the SNES is...well, it doesn't matter. If a publisher wanted to actually complete the story, they could probably whip up a DS port of Masoukishin and call it done. As for Great Battle...there doesn't seem like there was much story to begin with. Roar just went around with licensed characters fighting evil. The only one that matters is 4, but that can be summed up with a quick plot summary without missing much.
To summarize: OGs, OGG and Masoukishin are pretty much the only non-localized games needed to understand the OGverse and all three contain only originals. However, OGs and OGG are actually in the OGverse while Masoukishin takes place in the original SRW timeline's La Gias. There may be a chance that future OG games will cover Masoukishin and put it to rest. However, I'd still support and buy that DS port of it. If there's any licensing costs involved in a game that old, it shouldn't cost anywhere near as much as the more current OG games. Though, it's a shame the Masoukishin translation project died.
Just...stop. Your attempts at rationlizing this are getting so ridiculous, it's actually physically painful to watch. Just stop. For the sake of the people who actually like these games.
It's not ridiculous to say that a game with Fighter Roar in it was meant to be played after the games of the same all-original series where Fighter Roar first appeared (Fighter =/= Warrior). They contain almost the entirety of his relevant modern story. Roar, Axel and Alfimi all have a new chunk of their story in the unlocalized games. And neither one of them is filled with licensed characters like Namco x Capcom.
