How bad ass is it? lol

but seriously...
1. Can you sell gear? Lets say I got a long sword then after finding my first spear i don't wanna use the longsword ever again, can i sell it for souls or somehow get something out of it?

2. I have heard alot of people gripe about reloading the crossbow, i saw one being used and it didn't seem that bad, are different crossbows slower? And do you have to go FPS when using the long bow?

3. Is there a way to detect a trap or prevent from being killed by a trap? is it like 100% invisible and then *WHAM!* your dead or can i somehow locate the trap or disarm it?

4. Can I buy gear? not upgrade it, but can I buy it, once i leave 1-1 (as a temple knight) can I go buy a spear crossbow or greatsword?

I have no answers for you .. but I do have some more questions :).

5. How is loot split when you play with someone summoned (split or kill or what?)

6. Can you sell stuff or trade stuff to other people?

7. When you invade another persons world do you appear in a random spot or is there a location that you appear?

8. If you adventure in non dead mode how often generally do you get invaded if playing in peak hours?

1. No selling of gear ever. You can either drop it on the floor, give it to a blue phantom or store it.

2. Reloading takes about a second, maybe a second and a half. I don't think there are any differences depending on crossbow used. Bows CAN be used in first person, but it's not necessary; you can stay in 3rd person and fire off and at close range, if you tap the R1 button and queue another R1 after you can fire bows REALLY fast.

3. If you take your time you'll usually spot traps or predict ambushes. The only "detect trap" skills in the game come from the player's end :)

4. You'll find several vendors in different areas that sell gear, upgrade stones, herbs, arrows, etc. No one vendor has it all. Some vendors need to be saved first, too.

5. A blue phantom gets half of the souls obtained by the player (but I don't think the player takes a cut though). Also blue phantoms cannot pick up gear except for what the player drops on the ground (trades or gifts).

6. Trades only but it would be difficult to coordinate. Read into how multiplayer works and you'll know what I'm talking about.

7. I believe as an invader you appear at the Arch Stone of that current level, but I could be wrong. I do know you're always behind the player though (someone confirm please).

8. For North American version, no one knows, but a healthy estimate would be peak hours (after dinner, etc). For Asian servers, I don't know. I don't play in human form often. (someone else confirm).

Sorry I couldn't answer everything :)

There are different "checkpoints" designated as BP spawn points, in most cases 2 per level and in most cases it's the where the fog is. A good example would be 1-3:
If you use the BE-stone at the beginning of the level, you spawn after TK's door.
BUT if you use it after the fog, you'll spawn in there (tunnel-bridge with redeyed knight).
It should be noted that not many know this and it's always funny seeing the player and his companions rush towards the start point after seeing the on-screen invasion message, it's a great view from up there... :P

Now, I've talked too much too...

Nice! I have to admit, I feel sheepish saying this but I've actually never invaded someone's game. Yeah, pitiful after spending 150-200 hours playing it! I've been invaded myself and while helping as a blue phantom though. Good information you wrote here, as I plan to invade people when I get the NA version; start fresh... as a bad ass ;)

I have a question regarding multi player. Is it possible to play co op with a friend or is it totally random when playing online?

As far as I know...you can save until a level is complete...so if a level takes 3-5hrs, you can't save until then.

Progress is saved automatically, constantly. No escaping death by resetting.
