Okay, I'm asking ATLUS so hopefully I'm not stepping on the toes of any TOS or such. I just picked up my art book/soundtrack and I was saddened (read: NOT disappointed, merely saddened) to see that the Once Royal Mistress melody was NOT included in the OST. Is there any way to get this track, which is probably a soundbyte...I loved it, it's mysterious and easily one of my favorite audio tracks in the game.

I have to check if it really is a SFX or not. The problem is, if it *is* a
SFX, the rest of the background noises will be recorded along too which can be annoying and also hamper the recording quality.

If it's a BGM track then you're lucky.

Either way it would be an isolated track, and it really must considering it's a contextual and spacial track you can only hear when you're nearing the NPC that gets louder as you near the Once Royal Mistress (Latria's Merchant).

The track I'm talking about queues up at about the 4:52 mark HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sXnBQeppiM&feature=PlayList&p=A34510718457B43C&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=25).

No need for links, I know exactly which "track" you mean and I actually want it myself too. ;)

What I wanted to make clear before is that, isolated or not, in Demon's Souls there's always atmospheric background noise playing which is pure SFX. Trust me, I know this all too well since I was experimenting a lot on capturing the audio for the Demon's Souls PS3 theme.
However if you really don't mind the bg-noise, I guess I can aswell capture it for you. (as long as ATLUS doesn't mind that owner of the game capture and trade SFX, of course)

The thing is the soundtrack is only going to have the actual BGM's not the sound effects or ambiant things. I am not going to click the link and am not familiar with this "event" but it makes me think it is like piano music that plays while you get closer to them or some such? Something like that isn't going to be in the sountrack :/.

Can somebody tell me if the song from the trailer is on the OST? That song is awesome... I love how they have that little bit in the beginning where they have like the quiet sad singing then the drums kick in and it gets all orchestral

Yup. Track 01 and it's called, here it comes, "Demon's Souls".

It's not really a piano bit, it's a The Once Royal Mistress singing...sort of chanting...

Like I said that was the impression I was getting. I haven't watched the video on purpose nor will I listen to any sound bite. If it isn't an official video or a PVP video I avoid it like the plague. I am trying to limit real spoilers as much as possible.

Yeah, the "chant" would be labeled as an ambient sound effect, not a music track hence why it's not included. Too bad though.

Man, I love that level. Well, it's a love-hate thing (anyone who's played it will know what I'm talking about). Lots of strange sounds coming from different "areas" in this level. Played it with headphones and I got goosebumps.

Hell...I'd take a vide on Youtube of someone just standing in front of her for 3 minutes...please?

Speaking of the soundtrack...
I wanted to make a new thread about this, but apparently I can't make new threads yet.

The soundtrack track list is HORRIBLY MISLABELED. Of the mistakes I was able to point out:

Old Hero music where the Adjudicator music should be.
Storm King music where the Old Hero music should be.
Adjudicator music where the Storm King music should be.
Leechmonger and Dirty Colossus music have been swapped.
Armor Spider and Dragon God music have been swapped.

All the other labelings are correct to my knowledge, but to have that many mistakes on the official soundtrack is pretty bad.
