Seriously. I have come to this realization after finishing the SEBEC story. One complaint is that it's waaaaay too easy. On to SQQ, on Expert!

Cool story.

While there should be some spoiler tags in place, perhaps you could explain why you feel that way, this seems kinda spammy otherwise.

I'm not in a position to gauge the story just yet, I'm stuck in a mall right now. I just wanted some upgrades and now they won't let me leave o.o;

Not to speak for Enzeru, but I would imagine his response is basically going to come down to this being an old-school SMT game, and a lot of people just prefer that style of game.

I guess. I just..."got" the characters more. You know? I thought the storyline was better, too. Same with art. Battle system was, like I said, too easy, but I liked the grid idea.

I love how insanely fastly paced the dungeon crawling is, it's almost perfect. The only gripe I really have with it is the changing of music, I absolutely loved a lot of the original music. I can't believe they actually used that recycled inferior Velvet Room theme from P3/P4, it's so WEAK compared to the original, lacks the soul the game tries to put out there. :p

Not gonna comment on the stories yet, since I'm only halfway through both games (although, I'm kind of a sucker for the weeaboo stuff in P3), but I will say this:

-Totally agree on normal mode being too easy. I wish I had picked expert.

-That's an awesome version of Aria of Everyone's Soul... :o Although, I'm not one to notice the difference when playing the game.

-I'm finding that my levels are usually too low to create new persona with the spell cards I have, but I'm having no trouble clearing the game without upgrading them very often. I kinda wish they forced you to fuse and upgrade persona more often, like in P3/4 and to use more persona in battle (I'd usually rather guard or do something trivial than waste a turn switching).

-I love the ridiculously expanded and complicated element system. I hope they bring that back (at least partially). It seems like every megaten game these days uses its own subset of the larger elemental system. (I.e. P3/4 has agi/bufu/zio/garu/hama/mudo/megido but Devil Survivor has agi/bufu/zio/zan/megido--with zan being a pseudo-garu, instead P1's zan).

Well, not that I dislike this one. I don't find it difficult, but I don't see the deep character development everyone's talking about, but more the dysfunctional bickering within the party that makes RPGs fun. Particularly between Mark and Nanjo.

Not much of a fan of how EXP is weighted, though. Its nice to encourage efficient play, but its hard to get everyone good EXP returns every fight. Shifting everyone's persona's to fit each fight won't always happen based on who might pop up.

I think the press-turn philosophy was a better way of encouraging efficient play.

Press-turn came out after Persona, I think. Or maybe around the same time, but in a different series. I like press-turn more also, but I wouldn't have wanted them to shoe-horn it into the remake.

Oh, if you're having trouble getting someone experience, give them a persona with a low SP cost and a group heal or buff and have them spam that every turn. They'll get more xp than anyone else, unless you have a character one shot the entire enemy party or something.

Point is, though, that it shouldn't have that. Like right now, at the black market, Nanjo is severely underleveled, because he doesn't attack as much, due to his low agi stat. Or maybe it's because I try to keep personas that suits the characters the best.

But a situation like that is just mot funny. That leaves one party member pretty useless, IMO, because they have to catch up. So, why no equal exp gain?

Errr... sorry for the long and offtopic post ^^"

Damn... I can't play this, because... My PSP has custom firmware, and they haven't developed the newest firmware yet. And it's a possibility that they'll never make it :(

Persona PSP is way better than P3. Everytime I play persona 1 I always get into the story. But with P3, I would get bored climbing Tartarus.:bs:
But like most of the people who played the original Revelations Persona, I would have liked for them to keep all the old songs instead of making the new ones.

p.s.I absolutely hate the fact that they took out Awakening Legend and didn't even make a remix of it. Instead they use Lone Prayer for all Awakening battles.

Apples and Oranges. You can say you "prefer" it to P3, but cannot say it's "better", as they are two very different games. So far, I think I prefer P3, but that might change since I'm only an hour into the game (just finished the police station).

I'm just glad nothing was touched this time.

The PS1 version did have it's merits, but the execution ended up being too painful to look at.

I'm going to play through the main story arc for a little nostalgia, then hit SQQ afterwards.

Yeah, I like paying more for less, too. Crappy localization, gutted content and racial stereotypes make for a more old school experience, i guess.

you won't be getting the entire story with the localized psx persona, only the imported one, and that's only if you know Japanese.
