View Full Version : Summon Night Swordcraft Story 3

That is a game I would do almost anything for... in English.

I heard somewhere that it's not being imported, and that made me really sad.

This is series my favorite RPG, I've never played anything else that's as nice and fun as these games! And, seeing as I've beaten 2, I was going to buy 3, until I heard about the no import thing...

Please Atlus, do you think you could at least import one more swordcraft story game?

Who else agrees?

It's for GBA, and GBA is dead.

So is the Summon Night franchise in the U.S.. Two games, and that's it. The Banpresto deal that got us Swordcraft Story 1 and 2 was a one-time offer.

Furthermore, the franchise is in Namco Bandai's hands now, and Namco Bandai of Japan is run by bastards who don't want their U.S. branch mucking about with Their Precious.

Blah blah blah. Will you shut up about that? You have no source, and have been trying to convince every new member here that you actually know what the hell you're talking about.

Even Atlus' admins themselves told you to cram it. Please.

Somehow I bet Atlus will just release Summon Night DS & OG just to shut him up lol.

also Ban Plz.

Well, yeah, but I know a lot of people who like Swordcraft Story, and this is where you post ideas for games overseas that would be nice over here. it didn't say that everything posted here has to be absolutely possible and a perfect idea... =3=;

But if no one cares, then oh well...

This is the same as asking Atlus for Saturn games or remakes of the SNES Shin Megami Tensei titles. It's got nothing to do with Atlus. It has everything to do, however, with the realities of the market.

That has absolutely nothing to do with what you said. Should I quote you again?

You essentially said that the Summon Night series, as a whole, is completely dead and gone in North America, which you have no way in hell of actually knowing.

Swordcraft Story 3 didn't come stateside. Twin Age didn't come stateside.

You have no way in hell of knowing the franchise isn't dead. The difference between us, though, is that I have past performance to cite as evidence. The DS remakes of 1 and 2 might come Stateside, and I will be pleasantly surprised if they do...but odds are, Namco Bandai doesn't think the franchise was worth even a first chance in America.

lukedraik

Well, if it doesn't come, that's their loss. I personally think its a great game though... and it'll be sad to not have 3...

Twin Age came out in freaking August. it still has plenty of time.. Jeez.

Lol Kaki. it's only been like 5 months though guys. Atlus usually announces games when they are about done with them it seems. So ya know. WAIT!

He was. I was just telling people that 5 months is not a short enough time for Atlus to announce a game & they should chill.

Hmm, 'kay, that's cool. itt selective reading, hurr.

I personally don't think Seireitachi no Koe will get here, but that's just my impression. Then again, I don't really know how well the Swordcraft games did here. :\ Did they even do that well?

I know that. But I'm not the one stating a bunch of bull#### I know nothing about. I never said it wasn't dead, genius. I said you have no idea what you're talking about. Which you don't.

GBA was dead when Swordcraft Story 3 came out in JPN and Twin Age has been out for 5 months in JPN. Who knows if Atlus is localizing it. Because one game out of 4 didn't come out doesn't mean it's dead.

Fine. But when August rolls around again and Twin Age doesn't get picked up, you know who called it.

That said, I'm betting the Summon Night 1 and 2 remakes will come Stateside. But it'll probably be Namco Bandai that brings them.

I wouldn't care much either. I'd play it if it came here but I wouldn't cry about it if not.

Oh, please let this game be published in the states. The DS would make a good home for it I think. ^_^ The First two had good critical attention. If only they weren't so late in the GBA's life and covered so sparingly...

I know this series can have a home here! Some publisher should get it over.

For the time being, I'm just waiting for the rom to get translated, lol
(personally, I liked the Japanese voices in SCS 2 & 3, so I guess that's a plus)

Alright, I'll try not to get annoyed after having my post from this thread deleted the other night because of the forum update and having my other thread locked.

Mods are just doing their jobs...right?

Anyways, once again...Atlus, give this one a go okay? People can say that the GBA is dead but apparently those same people tend to forget that their DS can also play GBA games.

And as long as Nintendo doesn't decide to scrap that port from the DS's slot, people can play this game comfortably on their DSs...

Summon Night's Swordcraft spinoff is a great series and should probably end with the bang it got in Japan rather than the depressing sigh we got when we found out that the 3rd one wouldn't be localized...

gba is dead it's too late to release another gba game some stores stop getting new gba games anyways

final_agent

*sigh* Guess you're right about that. Mostly video game shops can be found to have these games...most regular stores rarely have any gba games and even then, mostly the crappy ones.

But still, it's a big shame.

Hopefully Flight Plan decides to make a DS compilation sometime soon...~.~

Whilst I have little hope, considering this is a GBA game, it'd be awesome if we got an English version of this game. I love the Summon Night series, the Swordcraft Story spin-offs especially.

I would love to see this game come stateside. There must be something that can be done to make this a reality.
