I have a question.
In this video it says "You can only summon another player who has yet to defeat the level's boss", so if you summon them and you both take on the boss and win. That means only the summoner's completed with that level right? Since it only affects their world, and the other player gets their body back.
I'm not sure but is that a fair deal? Getting your body back only? If I remember correctly you do get more HP and stuff with that body though..

Personally I rather like that. Your body does more than just give more HP as well, it gives you the ability to summon others. So you help someone beat a boss, then turn around and have the ability to have others help you defeat a boss, or even that same boss. In a way it increases longevity, but I also think it helps promote co-op play to some degree.
Then again, I'm also looking at this in a sort of PSO manor. Meaning that beating the level isn't really the goal of playing it in the first place. Eventually you want to, sure, but in the end you're playing for the sake of playing, leveling up, and finding new shiny things. Which will still happen, even if you don't progress your own story. Granted PSO did allow you to progress the plot as a team, but can you really tell me it took hundreds of hours to clear the plot? No, it was about the shiny things. :P
Oh, and I believe you got the quote wrong, it was: "When you place a soul sign in the stage, it will only be visible to players who have yet to beat the stage's boss." Meaning this is a restriction based on the summoner, not the phantom. I could be wrong, but I don't think the phantom has that restriction, so you can be summoned even if you've cleared a level.

But, when you start a New Game+ you'll be able to summon more phantoms right? Like, once you beat the game once, you already beat all the bosses, but in New Game+ it all resets, correct? So you'll be able to summon people on 1-1 again?
'Cos I was just thinking, eventually that rule (the one that you can't summon a phantom on a level you already beat) would eventually collapse after a lot of people beat the game, because there would be no one left to help....
Sorry if that sounds a bit confusing, Im not completely sure on how to word it out XD

Yeah, all the bosses are back in a New Game+, meaning you can summon again. In fact, NG+ is the only way to summon allies in 1-1 as far as I know.

I was reading over at GT, someone said the game gets more difficult after each NG+, even if you bring everything over from the previous game (except keys, etc), whats being more difficult? Do the enemies scale in strength to your own or something?

From what my research tells me the game is basically twice as hard on the first new game + as it was on the first play through. However for each subsequent new game the difficulty goes up by something closer to 8-10%. So basically the first new game is a big leap in challenge, but the following ones are not as bad.

The rise in enemy damage and HP is roughly 1/3 - 1/2 more than in a first runthrough of the game. From that point onwards it goes up by about 1/10 each time.
