View Full Version : Anyone get a horribly cracked case?

Just got home, and god, opened up the box to find the CD jewel case cracked on both sides, and the UMD case to have a very nasty split on the back. Now, both can be easily replaced (I have other PSP games I don't mind giving a crappier case) and CD Jewel Cases are easy enough, but seriously. Eck. I dread to think what would have happened had my actual game or soundtrack been damaged. I'm not sure how the whole process works with shipping games to GameStop, but it would be nice to know who to direct a concerned phone call or e-mail to.

Really though, happy to have the game at least. I'm just seeing if anyone else was in a similar situation.

Well I guess it appears that I was just really unlucky. I'll blame my GameStop.

No cracked case, but instead of new game manual smell, it and the insert smells like Play-Doh.

This leads me to conclude that Atlus employs Play-Doh eaters.

Case and cd jewel case are in pristine shape here. You are correct though Foobar... it does smell like play doh....

I dunno, mine smells a little more like it was out in the woods for a while before being shipped to me.

blame UPS or whatever company delivered it to Gamestop, probaly got delivered by an idiot that dropped the box with the SMT Personas in it or something

Not dropped, tossed more than likely.

While they're told not to, its honestly faster to toss boxes than set them down normally. When you see hundreds of boxes a day, the smaller ones will get thrown around.

My Gamestop employee was actually surprised they had so many of these in stock. I was the first one to come get my copy even though I just got it last night. It was minty fresh XD I didn't think there'd be a jewel case either, this game was a steal with the full OST... I'm really proud of the way it turned out, especially since the first person play isn't even noticable to me like it was originally. <3 <3 <3

Mine arrived today in perfect condition, except the box is impossible to open without mutilating it.

My cases weren't cracked, but I was so excited that I broke the case for the soundtrack CD's. xD

Besides having the corner of the box a little bent everything else is prefectly fine with my copy.

I didn't get a cracked case, but I got a UMD case without the disc inside. :frown:

Yeah, the box was tight, but my stuff was fine.

yea the top flap of the box was hard to open without tearing it by accident

Atlus please make future game boxes easier to open

No, but my UMD won't play properly in my PSP Slim. It plays the intro/start-up movie fine, but when I try and go past the movie the UMD drive starts making weird noises and the game just black screen of deaths. It plays fine on my Phat PSP though. Both are running the exact same firmware, updated from the exact same UMD (Persona UMD). All my other UMDs play fine in my PSP Slim. Weird, eh?

Sorry, what's this about a "jewelry case"

Jewel Case (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewel_case) (yeah, I know thats a redirect), not Jewellery Case.
They just mean the CD comes in an actual plastic CD case rather than a cardboard slip.
