Cool, I'd be up for some zombie slaying. I actually never had a lot of time with RE5. I cleared the story, got some upgrades, and B ranked a few Mercenaries runs, but then real life decided to say "No more zombies for now! You have work to do!" And I haven't gotten back into it since, heh.

MGO can be pretty fun. I don't use guns though. I use the knife, traps, and the box almost exclusively. It's a lot of fun trying to find a good opportunity to take down a significantly more heavily armed foe with that little stun knife.

At Leventa: BF1943 was actually done well, the maps are small and fast, and the classes are balanced. Its really easy to get into: but if you didn't like the demo, you probably won't like the game, since the demo is just a trial version of the full game.
I like it because it doesn't reward players with no lives. (IE: Battlefield 2142, CoD WaW)

At Syra: I played a TON of RE5 over the summer when all i was doing was teaching a Physiology class to undergrads, so my work load was relatively light. But the trophies for maxing out all equipment and getting all the unlocks do take awhile. Other than that, once you beat the game on professional, youre good to go. The only chapter that is tough is 5-3 with the Wesker-Jill fight at the end, since you can't even get hit ONCE. So don't even bother trying with the AI partner, they always get killed.
My favorite thing to use in MGO was the playboy magazine; it was hilarious when you trap someone with it, then trank them and try and throw their body off a roof or something (you can't actually do that I know).

Theres alot of games I would get into right now, like Fat Princess, but I have so many other ones to finish and with Demon's Souls coming up I feel like it would be a waste of money...

I am also a east coaster my play time varies though based on if I work that day, if I work the next day, social stuff, blah blah blah. So unlike most people I dont have a "set" time I game at. If I had to pin it down to a best guess my normal play hours land somewhere between 5pm and 12am eastern.

My favs...Hellsing, Ghost in the Shell, Witchblade and my all time favorite movie...Castle in the Sky. I agree there is not much new around, so I have been watching He-Man!

Well maybe I dreamed(nightmared) that,

Black Phantoms(invaders) are random. Blue(co-op) and Red(duel) Phantoms are invited via Soul Signs. In order to play with friends you collaborate a location and time so that the one who's living can find the soul signs of those currently dead. It's not inviting through PSN, no, but it can still be done. The game also supports XMB chat, so you can create chat rooms with your friends for just such meet-ups.

Atlus' Online Walkthrough may explain it better.

True, however arranging a rendez-vous outside of the game and actually meeting in an weird/not-so-popular place could potentially bypass this.

Having already played *lots* of co-op with various people on other forums, I can safely say that this thread is NOT pointless, not at all.
Even if it sounds like you'd have to meet many random variables to being able to co-op in Demon's Souls, in practice it's "just a few requirements". It's very well possible to have fun co-op sessions by alternating plays: set up a meeting location with a person in the same level-range -> choose whose boss to defeat first and who is the helper -> co-op & kill the boss together -> alternate, means, whoever played in body form before, simply suicides and helps doing the other guy's stage. Rinse&Repeat for the other stages.

I have a question about this. Is it true that there is no friend's list integrated into the game, so you can't actually choose who you get to play with in co-op? My two roommates and I want to play the game together using PSN, but when I looked at the "network" section of the official website, I found the following text:

...the game's online system does not allow for friend lists or selective matchmaking; it's all handled by the game, so it really doesn't make much sense to burden a single server with so many players, because you'll be playing with new adventurers every time...

If you're in body form and need help you can summon up to two helpers/friends, the only requirements for them are:
1. They have to have access to the area you want to coop.
2. They have to be dead
3. They have to be in the same level range as you, like +/-10 levels from yours (this value goes up the higher your level is. e.g. at level 150 you can coop with people +/-25 levels from yours)

Now, after successfully defeating a boss together, your two friends get revived(that's their reward for helping you) and sent back to their game.
If you simply want to play the next area with them, they just have to suicide and go to the next meeting point where you pick em up again.

ZomDizae left out an important point. Only the living player gets credit for the boss kill, if your summoned buddies haven't killed that boss yet it is still up in their game. So you may need to kill yourself to help out your friends sometimes as well.

Well i hope all of you have figured out by now that there is no lobby and you cant invite people to your game. So your attempts at befriending eachother are in vein, and seeing as you can't play with your friends in the game and there is no lobby or mic access, i will not be getting this horrid game.

So telling someone on your friends list the exact location where you drop/activate your blue stone won't work either? Can anyone confirm this?
I just bought a new playstation and a copy of demon's souls. Don't have many friends on my list so if you are a nice person (yeah, i'm serious. no assholes) go right ahead and add me. Would be nice to get some hints and tips for the game also ^^

Quit spamming misinformation. If you can't play with friends, how have I done it multiple times, without fail? So the game refuses to sacrifice its lore for convenience, big deal, you can still play with friends with a few texts worth of info.

Yep yep, that was me, I added you, AdenSyra and Bearcut. yet to play with anyone as i had college all day today. 19yo/michigan also wow people attack you often. I'm only about 3-4 hours into the game and ive been attacked by player souls 3 times now :/ Still alive though!

Speaking of friends, I'm in Canada and I want to play a friend in Arizona. Are we going to be playing on seperate servers? I can't imagine evryone will be connected to the same server or you would see hundreds of ghosts running around in your game. So what Im asking is, is it possible for the two of us to play a co-op game?
