Is there going to be a guide for the new Persona PSP game? I usually collect guides and will use them if I have to. I know with this game, you have to make some specific choices to get the "good" ending, and I really don't want to make a mistake on it.

Anyone know if they are releasing a guide for this game?

DoubleJump has a listing for it under both electronic and printed guides, but it says backordered on both (I guess they ran out of megabyes...). If they continue with the march into oblivion, the printed guide will be $45. Assuming they are actually doing a guide.

Their forum has more info:

We plan to publish a guide for the new Persona game on PSP but we're short staffed and pretty behind on it. Not sure when it'll be ready. Keep an eye on this spot for further news.

...

The eGuide will be $9.99. The print on demand guide will be between $25-40 depending on what the final page count comes out to.

Holy crap it's depressing reading their forum. DJ is sinking and sinking fast.

Holy crap, $40 for a regular ol' strategy guide? No way am I paying that much unless it comes with something.

Uhh...use GameFAQs?

And it's kind of stupid to not touch a game unless you have a guide for it. I can understand if you're stuck in a confusing dungeon *cougheternalsonatacough*, but other than that, I don't see why you should NEED a guide to make good use of the Contact system. It's actually more fun if you experiment with the Contacts to see which ones work on which enemies.

Yeah, especially since conversations that should work can sometimes fail, so following a guide for it isn't going to help all that much. And the general guidelines to follow are mostly common sense.

and Gamefaqs doesnt have any faqs for Shin Megami Tensei Persona
The faqs they had for Revelations Persona covering the Contact system are gone

^Dude! Play the game and experiment! For all of the bellyaching you have done about how Atlus should release SMT I and II in North America, you owe it to yourself to play through Persona PSP - and at least try without a guide. Its an old school SMT title (minus a few things). Play it for what it is.

If you can't do that, I'm really not certain how you can make it through SMT I or II. Wait, I thought you had already played through those?..........

Why don't you tell us what specific demons you are having problems with in the help thread?

The only reason you really need a guide is to figure out who to recruit and do SQQ. Otherwise, its really straightforward. All that time spent experimenting with the contact system will not only raise your levels and personas but get you more familiar with what advice works for what demon type. =)

I plan to play Persona PSP, I just have so many others I want to play right now, I don't need to jump into it right away.

One of the main reasons I want the guide is I know you have to answer questions with specific answers to get the "best" ending. For how much backlog I have, I don't have time to experiment and play through the game again.

As for DoubleJump, are they really doing that bad? I hope they do not go out of business, I really do like their guides.

Not only is that portion very, very brief, it is incredibly easy. You don't need a strategy guide for that.
