Of course. Have all your characters surround him so he can't move. Difficult yes... But not impossible! Watch out for his Bind ability. He will use it on everyone in range if he can. Make good use of Phantasma, Fly and/or Devil Speed.

That's actually how I won the first time around! I didn't notice he wasn't Mystic immune until I petrified him (gogo +Petrify). Mari just owned him after that.

Besides hoping for the petrify status effect, you can try Binding him, or get a couple Snake type demons with Constrict are a great alternative since you won't have to spend HP for the ability. Bind/Constrict, then just whittle him down until you win.
