Ok, Anyone got FLY-REPELLENT?

Ok, I'm on day 6, i think, and bezoubel the giantfly is in my way. I would hope for some tips because the last ten times i tried beating it, i just become feed for his maggots.

I never had any trouble. Belzaboul can only attack 3(Or was it 5?) spaces away, so stay the hell out of his range until all his cronies are dead. Once they're gone, he'll summon the flies which die like, well, flies. Put 3 of your teams on fly swatting duty and have your boss kill team bum rush Belzaboul. I'd say he's probably the weakest Bel overall, so once your main team only has him to focus on he'll fry in short order.

My strategy was to rush him with my best physical attackers that could use Pierce and Deathbound (MC, Izuna and Atsuro are probably your best picks character-wise, demons all depend on how ya raised em) before he could do too much with the flies. For the character that can't have pierce and Deathbound, give them Dual Shadow and Mighty Hit.

Ignore all enemies and skill crack opportunities because once one of those enemies is defeated or Beelzeboul is attacked, he will turn them into flies anyway, so just attack him and keep your best mages with strongest dances in the back to deal with the flies or cast Affection on your attackers.

Chaos Wave and Flight are incredibly useful in getting to him quickly, too, so have those on your demons.

I kept people and demons with affection on hand. Or even just amarita. It's best if every party can heal twice. then the people who could exceed his healing got close and attacked while the others healed and killed any stray monsters. If you keep the eggs from hatching though, he's not too bad.

I'm going to echo the "Affection" comments others are saying, that's how I delt with it. Come to think of it, I still haven't seen what happens if you leave the debuff on you... Null Mystic will also prevent the debuff I'm pretty sure, tho I don't have my DS in front of me now to confirm that.

If the flies lay eggs on your character, they hatch in about two turns. It auto-kills the character that was infected and spawns another group of flies for you to fight.

IIRC, Null Mystic can't stop the attack. Death Flies have always been Almighty, so I'd assume they are here too.

Thanks all the people who posted after my 2nd post. Though I have beaten Bezoubel now, With my whole party running at him and my yuzu/Norn using amirta and prayer and manage to beat the fly pretty hard with atsuro and his deathbound/pierce/duel shadow/Ares Aid/blitzkreig skills. So yea, thanks for your post.

Just got back up to him, and yeah it's Almighty. Null Mystic does not prevent the status effect. I must have been thinking of Judgement :/

well i just complete ignore all ideas given by others and just bring my MC straight to the fly and use awakening + holy dance + double hit and won in a few turns...no trouble since all of my other people almost died especially amane since i didnt get her any good skillcrack...
