Alright, I just beat the game earlier today, and I feel like I'm missing something here.

So, the Tsukigata use the luck locusts for their assassinations. And they need the Tento Lords in order to get the locusts. In order to appease the Tentos, the Tsukigata family offers up one of its daughters every twelve years. I get this. But didn't Akijiro say they stopped using the locusts, even going so far as to ban them? If that's the case, then why bother continuing with the marriage ritual? Why care that the Tento Lords get wiped out? Why all the stuff with Dahn becoming King Abaddon?

Or am I missing something, and the locusts were banned from extensive use, but still important?

If it's a huge gaping plot hole, I don't really care, because it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game in any way. But it would be nice to make sure I've got it all right.

They also depended on them for the big warrior bugs as well.

It wasn't just for Luck Locusts. It was for all their insects.

I thought they'd never seen the Apollyons before? And nobody could control them, anyways...

It wasn't just for Luck Locusts. It was for all their insects.

What other insects?

^ Uh, you know the giant warrior bugs that Dahn and the other dudes summoned when you fought them. Way to pay attention.

D'oh! I completely forgot about those guys. They were such minor boss fights. Alright, thanks.
