Alright, I just beat the game earlier today, and I feel like I'm missing something here.
So, the Tsukigata use the luck locusts for their assassinations. And they need the Tento Lords in order to get the locusts. In order to appease the Tentos, the Tsukigata family offers up one of its daughters every twelve years. I get this. But didn't Akijiro say they stopped using the locusts, even going so far as to ban them? If that's the case, then why bother continuing with the marriage ritual? Why care that the Tento Lords get wiped out? Why all the stuff with Dahn becoming King Abaddon?
Or am I missing something, and the locusts were banned from extensive use, but still important?
If it's a huge gaping plot hole, I don't really care, because it doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game in any way. But it would be nice to make sure I've got it all right.
