A few websites have posted their coverage after a recent press tour with Persona PSP for your reading and viewing enjoyment.

-GameSpot was first to post their impressions (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/persona/news.html?sid=6213134) along with three new videos: the hospital cutscene (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/persona/video/6213112/shin-megami-tensei-persona--heroes-get-trapped-at-the-hospital-cutscene?tag=videos;title;3), featuring a glimpse of the new US voice acting, as well as one video each for combat (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/persona/video/6213113/shin-megami-tensei-persona--persona-attack-gameplay-movie) and negotiation (http://www.gamespot.com/psp/rpg/persona/video/6213114/shin-megami-tensei-persona--talking-enemies-to-death-gameplay-movie).

-1UP also has impressions (http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3175123), which detail all the updates that went into the PSP version, for those who don't know the full rundown.

-No impressions from IGN thus far, but they did post five videos: in addition to the aforementioned Hospital cutscene, they also have a visit with Maki (http://psp.ign.com/dor/objects/704780/persona/videos/personapsp_sickgirl.html), the game's first battle (http://psp.ign.com/dor/objects/704780/persona/videos/personapsp_firstfight.html), a random battle (http://psp.ign.com/dor/objects/704780/persona/videos/personapsp_randombattle.html), and an especially important negotiation video (http://psp.ign.com/dor/objects/704780/persona/videos/personapsp_getthatcard.html).

I like the voices, but wish there were still subs on the bottom. :[ Still, can't wait!

EDIT: And whoa! The level up screen is Persona 3-ified!

Said it at E3 and I have to say it again...I miss the "Persona!" sound byte in the battles...I know it wasn't a faithful translation but damn if I didn't love that the first time I heard it.

I have no idea who's voicing Yukino. Masao's voice sounds like Sam Riegal, and I recognize Kei's voice but I can't put a name on it.

EDIT: Kei sounds like...Troy Baker?

EDIT2: So...your party starts out at Lv 5? That seems kinda odd to me. Also, it kinda sucks that your party doesn't actually do the contact options. Instead they just stand there and it says "Mark busted a move!"

Also, why is Kei's name reversed?

I've actually seen a lot of RPGs start you out at like, level 5 instead of level 1. I'm fairly sure some of the Final Fantasies do it.

Voices seem good to me, but I'm going to miss the voice acted contacts from P2. (The very last contact you do accompanies a bit of VA.)

The characters in this game pretty much have preferences as to how they want to be addressed, so Nanjo and Ayase are primarily referred to by their last names, and Mark, Brown, and Elly/Ellie have those nicknames. Other characters might call them by their other names in the narration, but in the menus/battle dialog, Nanjo won't ever be called Kei, for example.

I don't know what it'll be like in the American version, but at least in the Japanese version, you input for the main character a first name, last name, and then a "nickname" that will be used in menus and by some of the characters.

And come on, I couldn't be the only one who noticed and loved the retention of "Mark danced crazy!"

Yeah, but in the FF games and other RPG's where the characters start at a higher level, it's because the character has some experience in fighting and stuff, whereas the Persona characters don't have any battle experience at all.
