Games with multiple endings are a hit and miss for me. On one hand, it's an awesome way to really give the player control over the game world... On the other hand -- what if the player gets stuck with a ####ty ending?
I'm halfway through Nocturne, and I don't know what ending I should shoot for. I'm on the Third Kalpa in Amala, and I'm not sure if I want the "true demon" ending (considering some jackass spoiled it for me).
So, I want to know what everyone's favorite ending was, by name (just name the Reason). Please no spoilers. I just want to figure out what ending to shoot for.

I don't mind if it's hard. I just want to know what the best is in terms of story/emotional impact/etc

You should work that out for yourself, that's kinda the point.
Technically, the true demon ending is the best as it has a lot of gameplay you'd miss otherwise. (Like some of the best bits)

i like the Reason ending. (NEUTRAL). Chaki's ending. When she tells you to kill Futomimi, say no. and youll get that ending.

I'm going through Nocturne right now for the first time, and I'm not sure if I should go for the "True Demon" ending or not, either. Personally I don't really agree with any of the factions completely, but as a gamer, learning more about the Vortex World is always welcome.
But the final final boss sounds scary D:

"Favorite Ending? (Please no Spoilers)" seems like an incredibly bizarre request.
"What ending to shoot for" always strikes me as not being in the spirit of the designer's intent.
IMO, the best ending is the one you get by naturally playing through the game and making your own decisions as opposed to following a guide to a predetermined outcome. Then, on further playthroughs, you can role-play a different personality and see how the ending turns out.

This.
I actually applied the ending I got to myself and thought about it (and my behavior) for a very long time.

I'm always a sucker for Theicide, so the True Demon ending was for me, but it takes some work and you know how it goes, apparently...

Ideally, that's the way things should work. However, pretty much every multi-ending game I've played has a real, canon "good" ending, and ####ty throw away endings. Silent Hill specifically. I'm a huge fan, and don't mind replaying to get different endings, but replaying a 10 hour game is not the same as replaying a 60 hour game.
I didn't spoil anything for myself. I didn't know that pretty much all the endings were great (except for regular demon). However, because I knew the game had multiple endings, I figured it would suffer from what I described above. I didn't want to replay it several times just to get a satisfying ending, so I figured I would ask which ending people enjoyed.
I finished the game back in July though. Got the True Demon ending. It was awesome.

If you knew which endings existed well enough to know how to ask others about them and how to "shoot for" them, then a lot was already spoiled IMO. Not that it matters, I'm just stating that I disagree with how you seem to define spoil.
Either way, glad you enjoyed it.

I'm torn between the Neutral and True Demon ending.
On the one hand, I love having Yuko admit that society isn't entirely in the gutter as she once thought, but at the same time, I'd rather see a world with subservient demons...
...no more ethical conflicts, no more laws. Just chaos, and a great war to win against the top brass upstairs.
