How exactly do I increase my "Fuse level"? I tried fusing some and it didn't go up :/

There is no such thing as a "Fuse Level". You have to increase MC's level so that it is equal to or higher than the resulting demon's level.

to see what demons you can make chose fusion at menu then search and search and it will show you the list. you can make only demons that are same or lower lvl then main character

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
I get it! I leveled up to 14 and my "fuse level" went up to 14 as well.
Kind of confusing but I get it now.
So "Fuse level" Is basically useless information, because my regular level is all I need.
So let's say I want to fuse 2 demons to form a level 20 demon. I need to be level 20 myself! (If anyone's wondering I'm trying to fuse a level 14 demon)
Thanks for all the help you guys!

The main use of the Compendium is to save skill builds. Yes, I can easily cook up a Sarasvati whenever I want to, but I can't guarantee that they're all going to have Fire Dance and Fire Rise(Or whatever)

IIRC he's a special fusion, you need to have specific demons in order to fuse him.

I know you need specific demos to make metatron, but i have almost every demon that is in the game, so if anyone know which demons are used plz tell me

All I know is that one of them is Remiel and you need to achieve a specific ending to gain access to him.

Just an f.y.i. I have NOT beat the game, but I read that "Kazphel + Remiel = Metatron"
and apparently to get Remeil you need to go on either, Nayoa or Kaido's routes.
I got this info from gamespot, but I don't think it's allowed to post a link. Basicly just search for "How to fuse Metatron Devil Survivor" On google and it should be the first page. But this page DOES contain a HUGE spoiler on a certain demon you can fuse.

Just wanted to say that I'm having a blast playing with the demon fusion system, however with as much as i'm playing with it I really do wish that we had multiple save slots for this reason specifically.
This way I could fuse, do a few battles and see weather or not I like the new demon or if I want my old friends back instead...... Oh well, trial and error I guess.
(didn't know if this belonged here or not really, but there is no "general chat" thread in this particular forum for random observations/comments. Do you think we should maybe start one or would it be pointless?)

Well if you want to know something interesting...
After you beat the game once, your fuse level is automatically set to 99 for all future playthroughs.

That's why I like the one save only, for this game. It reinforces the whole story of the game, that the characters are about to die, and everything they do is on the razor edge of life and death.
Really, though, you can tell if the new demon is going to be good or not by comparing stats, and making sure that you pick the abilities that you liked in the old demons, when you fuse them into a new one.
I really love this game!

You can also just use the Free Battles to test out the demons and teams and dump back to your save if things don't seem to be working out. Generally, though, I just re-fuse any demon that doesn't work out the way I thought it would.

You cna unlock Remiel via Yuzu (the girl that's your teammate from the beginning) route as well.

Fuse with a demon to make his status better and to assimilate the mitama's ability. Each mitama grows a different stat.

No as you can still choose which skills will transfer the pool will be what the demon already has + the mitama's skills.
