Does anyone know why my MC only moves about half as much as every other character? I think it's because of his agility. Up till now, it's only been 6. But since Beldr is so freaking hard, I've decided to grind until my Agility level is at least 8 or 9. Will this fix my problem? The only reason I can't defeat Beldr is because I can even get to attack him! Stupid Cait Siths...

The main thing that determines turn order is your turn order number, which you can't really change. The Hero and Atsuro both have 50, and Yuzu has 52, so her turns come up a little faster.

What's probably happening is that you're making a lot of actions on your turn. Every single action including moving, casting out-of-battle spells and abilities, and initiating a battle costs you turn order, and the more you do the further back in the order you're pushed. So if you move, attack, move again(Animal Leg), and then cast charm, you're next turn is going to take a while to come around, while enemies that are doing nothing but moving forward are going to get multiple turns very quickly.

IIRC, Agility determines how soon your action gets performed in battle, and how accurate/evasive you are.

Ah. Well, the majority of the time he just moves, but then again, he also uses Devil Speed to move quickly...Hmm, I'll try it without Devil Speed next time, then.

Yeah, for that battle, you start slowly working your way to the top of the map and then let your MC hammer him hard. I also had someone else there as a decoy.

Devil Speed is an action. If you use Devil Speed and then move, you're performing two actions, and your next turn will come up that much more slowly.

I never focus on agility. I've been leveling up just Magic and Vitality for now and don't really focus on strength as much. Not sure if that is the best way to focus the MC though :question:

You don't need to focus on agility, but you definitely shouldn't ignore it. It has lots of uses in battle, and you need decent agility to equip a lot of the better skills in the game.

My main can actually move further than anyone else > 3 >;
though yoohoo and keisuke both move before him.

My MC has 53 Speed, which is higher than anyone elses, so he moves first for me. Also, thanks to the Flight skill from one of his team's demons, he also moves further than anyone else.

I stopped putting in Agility once my MC could get Dual Shadow...

My MC used to move last but after beating Beldr, he becomes the first to move. I have always been building up strength and speed (even higher than Atsuro and Yuzu) so why he moved so slow in the first place, I have no idea.

Agility is fun to play with for me. I always kill off the monsters before they had a chance to poke me (:

Agility doesn't affect speed.

On the MC moving faster after defeating Beldr it's because he gets a +6 bonus to his speed. Due to story reasons. Which you keep on until all succeeding playthrough (once only)

Agility isn't that much needed later just be sure to have enough for the skills you want to equip on your MC. It only determines who attacks first in an encounter BTW.
