New Game Plus?

With the one save slot, I was wondering if Devil Survivor offered a New Game+ option. And if it does (I really hope it does), what does one get to keep? With the multiple endings and opportunities, I want to play this game over. . . but it'd be kind of a chore to start from nothing every time. (NOTE: I know some people would like having to start from scratch every time. That's cool. I'm just not one of those people. ^_^)

--If this has been answered alread, I couldn't find it. But if it has, point me in the right direction and I'll be happy!

You retain Cracked Skills, demons, and the level limitation for fusing demons is uplifted. You also get no penalties for experience when fighting lower level demons.
As for the special bonuses for the different endings, this is from GFAQs:



Yuzu

-you turn speed increase by 6 ( in new game+ MC turn speed will start at 56 instead of 50 making him able to act before absolutely everything eles in the game.)

-Ramiel unlocked

-Loki unlocked

- No extra movement gain in new game+ ( This is bad ).



Amane

- Metatron unlock

- Bishamon and the 4 heavenly guardian unlocked (you know the demons that look like angry buddha statues).

- extra movement gain in new game+ ( in new game+ MC can move 5 space instead of 4)


Naoya

- easiest to grin on the last day to prepare for the hidden boss.

- extra movement gain in new game+ ( in new game+ MC can move 5 space instead of 4)

- either Ramiel or Loki unlocked ( can't remember)


Any end route in new game+

- beat the hidden boss to unlocked Lucifer the rebel king.

- Lucifer has innate 2.5 time MP any monsters and Tyrant race ability that restore party MP base on damages your party did in battle. ( your MP will practically never run out).

Of course not! GameFAQs is your friend. xD GenoWhirl has tons of Youtube videos with two different endings if you want to see them, although they are in Japanese...

Thank god for that. I hate New Game +'s that make you keep your level, ruins all the fun of playing through the game.

Don't you still have your old stats? I thought in Nocturne, you kept your old stats, but your level resets.

So how many endings would there be in all? Just wondering. But thanks for sharing. I didn't know the characters that appear on the main/front screen meant anything cuz i haven't started newgame+ yet.

a Lot the game is supposed to have the same amount of endings as the characters in the intro movie appear, so their various there is Gin and Haru, Yuzu, Atsuro Naoya, Amane and a lot more that i havent seen

This part is needs a bit of correcting BTW it's you get the +6 to MC speed after you finish off a certain boss in your first playthrough (specifically Beldr it's the Abel seed activation bonus apparently, it stays but is not stackable.)

Also you get +1 move(once only) for any path except Yuzu's

The 3 devas is also accessible thorough any path except Yuzu's

Demon unlocks


Remiel is Naoya or Yuzu path
Loki is Yuzu or Amane's path
Metatron is Amane path
Lucifer is gotten on new game+ battle in all paths except Yuzu's


Also note some skills are only crackable in certain paths (i.e. megidolaon is also any path except Yuzu's)

I beat the game on Amane's and Nayoa's routes and I still do not have a shiny Metatron... :frown:

You can always email the script to the crew if you have it all finished.New Game Plus is a feature that becomes available after you have beaten Mass Effect 2, allowing you to replay the game as the Commander Shepard from a previous play through.

Your fusion level becomes 99 after you beat the game on ANY path, therefore allowing you to fuse any demon. This makes subsequent playthroughs extremely easy until you hit the final day. Seriously, Loki + Metatron + Magic Nuke main character = unstoppable.

On a funny note, I completed Naoya's path with Metatron on my team.

Umm... I think I might have done something wrong. Without avoiding some spoilers, I did "That one thing" on the second to last day with "That One guy", but after the ending showed, It said "Mission Failed" and then showed what would happen if you die. Does that mean it's not a true true ending, so I can't start a new game plus?
If I can, how?

I've completed game several times and I want to beat Lucifer as well as finishing other routes, but I've met a serious problem. Since I cracked almost all skills, I can't add them back in newer games to Party Leaders. So, they all are useless, included MC...Am I missing something or it's supposed to be in that way? Is there any point of cracking ALL skills btw?

Do you mean right away? Because your stats have to be a certain level to set some skills. For example; on my first try (I didn't finish it yet), Walter (MC) was really strong. So he had attacks like Power hit, Berserker, ans stuff like that. But Walter couldn't use lots of magic attacks. such as Agidyne. I think the highest magic spell he could use was a ma- or a dance.

As far as I am aware, you cannot fuse any of the Bels. Shame, that would've been cool.

Also, yes, most skills require certain stats and in a replay your levels reset.

I have now MC without ANY skill(only Agi from start) as well as other Party Leaders, because I cracked like 99% skills.
By magnetite power I can change demon's command skills, but that's pointless because I have my "perfect" demons from past games.
How I am going to fight hard bosses, if Party Leaders are weaklings, especially Yuzu, who doesn't have any magic while she is a caster.
Please help.

Level them up. There's no experience capping in new game+, so your human peeps will gain a level just about every enemy group they kill. You'll level quick and then you can start using your better skills.

Besides, bosses won't be an issue til like day 5 or 6 anyway. Your perfect demons that carry over will literally steam roll just about everything til you start getting to the end game.

Yep, that's true. But I think fighting with Lucifer will be a problem because of easy killable humans. Oh well, mass blocking ftw :)

You do it just like the last game, when you're editing your party just select a human character, hit Y and you can choose which skills to equip them with. You'll see the whole list of skills you've cracked. If they're blacked out its because that character doesn't have high enough stats to use it yet. Just highlight any skill and you'll see the stats you need, like Megidola is something like 10 Strength and 15 Magic.

OMFG...I didn't knew I can edit human's skills freely by clicking Y from Edit Team menu. Sheesh, that means at my 1st walkthrough I could replace any skill with old cracked one if I already replaced it... lol, I've completed 3 Routes already with No skills on humans at all.
Thanks to you, the last 2 Routes I will play with full power(which isn't necessary coz of "perfect" OP demons). But most importantly, I think I can beat Lucifer now :D
