I messed around very little with the fusion system. I was only playing on normal, maybe when I play on hard I'll need to work harder at fusing better persona's and stuff.

I ended up using Ishtar for the final dungeon(true ending). I think she's the final persona in the Lovers arcanum (Rise's social link), but I could be remembering wrong.

She was the only persona I found in my so far one playthrough that got that ability that halve's the cost of all spells. Things like salvation 20sp was crazy good. For the dungeon, I was regenerating more sp every battle then I spent(through that Rise final skill),. And on the final bossfight I just spammed full heals every turn with no worries, buffing when there was no need to heal.
Oh yah, and she had no weaknesses because she learns Absorb wind, the only element she would get knocked down by.

Skill-wise, I'd say Loki just because that's what I finished the game with. Cerberus was good as well.

But as for just the persona's themselves, no doubt about it, as in every game my favorite is JACK FROST!

Absolute favorite: Thanatos. Easily the coolest-looking being in all of MegaTen. WHY WON'T YOU SHOW UP ANYWHERE ELSE?! *cries*

Skills: Loki (P3), Thanatos, Messiah, Kohryuu (P3), Black Frost (P4), Yamato Takeru, Suzuka Gongen, Odin (P3).

Absolute favorite: Trumpeter (P4). Debilitate in Normal mode was a life-saver against the final boss.
