They have absolutely no incentive to be doing a promotion like that now that the game is mostly sold out at major retailers and the price is rising again. I think they know something we don't know.
Ordered this earlier today. Hope I don't get a "Sorry Item is Out of Stock" email in the morning.

Maybe they need to clear their inventory. Maybe it's a marketing strategy to build consumer loyalty. Why does it have to be some conspiracy?

I think Nocturne Chronicles is getting a release for the holidays in the US, so stores want to clear out the old Nocturne while they can.

Atlus Japan thought it would be cool to have him as a guest character because he's a demon hunter. They asked Capcom if they could use him and they said yes.
And also because Dante is awesome.

How's everyone who's ordered from GQD experience been? I missed DDS2 the first time around and would love to pick it up, but I see a lot of mixed messages about their service (or lack thereof?) on review sites.

Although I've never ordered from their site before, I bought Mazes of Fate from their Amazon storefront (which I now regret knowing I could've purchased direct from Graffiti), and it got there a lot faster than Amazon predicted. In fact, only 3 days without expedited shipping. As for customer service...hopefully you won't need to use it?
First time ordering form them and everything turned up great.

Anyone looking for a copy best grab it now. $30 for this and both Digital Devil Saga parts 1 and 2 on Amazon. Was this another attempt by Atlus to stabilize the prices while making some decent profits? If so, kudos to you guys again. $60 for these games a piece is crazy. I paid $40 each for the launch copies of DDS 1 and 2, and $40 for Nocturne's 2008 reprint. ^ Good things come to those who wait!

Well, I recieved DDS2 from game quest direct this morning, fast and no problems whatsoever. So if anybody misses them on Amazon, I would recomend getting them fom gqd!

Certainly taking a while for me to get mine from GameQuestDirect...
Maybe it might have to do with living in Canada, but I ordered at the beginning of July and it still hasn't arrived.
Or maybe my previous online orders just arrived faster than usual or something, since my orders from Japan only took around 7 days to arrive. :confused:
Guess I'll have to wait it out though.

Question about the game:
Is the demon negotiation system in Devil Summoner 2 the same in Nocturne? It's such a chore of a battle mechanic to actually have to do.

And terribly broken in the game (As in he breaks the game. In half. Then half. Then quadruples..)

Well, IMO, it's generally a lot easier in Nocturne, but sometimes it rips you off big time. But it's still there. Isn't that the main catch of SMT, though?

Well, there was a question about demon negotiations that was being answered there, and they were discussing whether the negotiations were easier in Devil Summoner 2 or Nocturne, when you jumped in about the ease of DDS1 as if it would answer the question. Different game, of no use to their discussions, as its not what they were talking about...
Maybe before you start moaning about people not reading what you write, you should read what they write? ;)
